His principal areas of experience include surveys such as boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, quantity, environmental and wetland, condominium, construction layout, as- built, right-of-way, specific purpose and subdivisions and platting, as well as subsurface utility engineering (SUE). He currently manages the South Florida survey department and field crews and is an Associate with the firm. Relevant Project Experience: City of Sunny Isles Beach Gwen Margolis Park and Pelican Community Park Artificial Turf - The project consisted of the reconstruction of existing natural turf fields at Pelican Community Park and Senator Gwen Margolis Park in the City of Sunny Isles Beach with artificial turf. Miller Legg provided the preparation and permitting of drainage plans to collect under the new drain systems installed as part of the project, as well as surveying services. In addition, construction observation was provided to verify compliance with the plans and for the certification of the project through regulatory agencies. City of Sunny Isles Beach Pelican Community Park - A three-acre active park site, for which Miller Legg managed landscape architecture, irrigation, engineering, surveying and architecture designs for a baseball field, recreation building, playground structure, gymnasium, and related site amenities within the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The project management team at Miller Legg received recognition from the City for their involvement in the design completion of the park. In addition, Miller Legg provided construction observation services. In addition, we also provided grant assistance to secure a Florida Recreational Development Assistant Program (FRDAP) grant for $200,000. FRDAP is a competitive grant program that provides financial assistance to local governments for development or acquisition of land for public outdoor recreational purposes. Award: Award of Merit, American Society of Landscape Architects, Florida Chapter, 2009 Sunny Isles Marina Survey - For this 3-acre marina site in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Miller Legg prepared and updated an American Land Title Association (ALTA) survey as well as a topographic survey of the docks. City of Homestead Biscayne- Everglades Greenway Trail - Among the services Miller Legg provided for this 3.2 mile, 12-foot-wide Biscayne Everglades Greenway shared-use trail project are landscape architectural, engineering, surveying and environmental services including preparation of FDOT- approved construction documents, design of regulatory and wayfinding signs, pavement markings, safe pedestrian push button crossing and necessary drainage within the C-103 Canal right-of-way from East Mowry Drive to SW 137th Avenue in Homestead. The scope of services was based upon a 2017 Florida Shared-use Non-Motorized Trail Agreement between the City of Homestead and FDOT. Topographic and SUE services were delivered. The scope included engineering design and permitting services for the shared-use trail, associated drainage and roadway pedestrian crossings. The firm also carried out Preliminary Natural Resource and Protected Species Investigations and documents related to designation of the Project by FDOT as a Documented Categorical Exclusion.
