Provided however, this shall not preclude the City inspector from <br />notifying the Contractor of any hazardous or dangerous condition; <br />(f) Participate in specialized field or laboratory tests. <br />6.5 Coordination and Scheduling of Work <br />6.5.1 The Contractor shall cooperate with the City and any separate contractors <br />retained by the City, and the Contractor shall carefully coordinate and schedule the Work <br />as may be required to accommodate without delay or interference the Work of the City or <br />any of its separate contractors. <br />6.6 Contractor Responsible for Delays <br />6.6.1 Contractor agrees that if Substantial Completion is not achieved by the <br />applicable Substantial Completion Date as defined in Paragraph 3.1.1, Contractor shall pay <br />to the City as liquidated damages One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each day beginning on <br />the first day after the Substantial Completion Date up to but not including the Substantial <br />Completion Date. <br />6.7 Contractor Field Office and Storage. <br />6.7.1 The City agrees to provide Contractor with a field administration office and two (2) <br />exterior storage areas for Contractor's use in connection with the Work at no cost to the <br />Contractor. The Contractor, however, shall remain solely responsible for protection and <br />safekeeping of equipment and materials at or near the sites, and no claim shall be made against <br />the City by reasons of any act of an employee or trespasser. The Contractor will retain a full set <br />of contract documents in the field administration office including this document and current as - <br />built plans available for the City's access at all times. <br />ARTICLE VII <br />THE CONTRACTOR <br />7.1 Upon providing no less than forty-eight (48) hours' notice to the Contractor, <br />the City may conduct a pre -construction conference at a time and place set forth in the <br />aforesaid notice. ATTENDANCE AT ALL PRE -CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE(S) IS <br />MANDATORY AND FAILURE TO ATTEND SHALL BE A MATERIAL BREACH OF <br />THIS CONTRACT. <br />7.2 The Contractor shall perform no part of the Work, including ordering of material, <br />at any time without adequate Contract Documents or, as appropriate, approved Shop <br />Drawings, Product Data or Samples for such portion of the Work. If the Contractor performs <br />any of the Work knowing it involves a recognized error, inconsistency or omission in the <br />Contract Documents without such notice to the City's Representative, the Contractor shall <br />bear responsibility for such performance and shall bear the cost of correction. <br />Unitec Inc. 13 <br />
