APPROACH & OVERALL ORGANIZATION TO COMPLETING THE PROJECT <br />B &A projects are each born of a creative, problem - solving process. B &A has significant experience in the public sector work throughout the United <br />States, Europe, South and Central America, and the Caribbean in several disciplines, including planning, <br />landscape architecture, urban design and construction. <br />B &A's landscape and architectural design philosophy is anchored by a series of principles that are time <br />tested. Our philosophy is composed of a number of concerns that are: <br />• Client Focus /User Needs Driven - Serving the client's needs is paramount. Understanding user needs <br />is crucial to create projects that respond to what the user desires and what will work for the specific <br />user group; <br />• Context Sensitive Design - Designs need to respond to the specific context that surrounds it and <br />within which it has to function; <br />• LEED /Sustainable Design - Responding to environmental conditions and providing for designs that <br />are sustainable is paramount. Sustainability has many definitions, from the economic, to building <br />construction and operations to relationship with the environment and urban systems. We strive to <br />respond to these conditions; <br />• Multi - Disciplinary Approach - Our professional in -house team includes urban designers, planners, <br />architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and marine engineers. As may be required we <br />bring to bear on projects the full expertise of our in -house staff and our sub - consultant; <br />• Implement Latest Technology (BIM) - We strive to implement the latest technology for assisting us in <br />the design process and construction administration process; <br />• Creative Designs - The creation of Delight, providing creative designs is the final most important <br />ingredient to development of successful project and the relationship between B &A, the Client and <br />the community; <br />• Technically Correct - Through our preparation of design and construction documents ascertain the <br />project's constructability and its adequate function through time; <br />• Cost Control - We strive to meet the Client's budgetary constraints while providing a product that is <br />aesthetically pleasing and functionally correct. <br />Our design philosophy is founded on the premise that successful projects are welcomed by the public, <br />technically and environmentally sound, cost effective, completed on -time and within budget. Successful <br />projects require a thorough understanding of our Client's needs and goals as well as methodical planning <br />with respect to existing conditions, permitting, budgetary constraints, scheduling, security and long term <br />maintenance.
