AGUIRRE & ASSOCIATES <br />CITY OF MIAMI <br />New Clubhouse / Restaurant for Melreese Golf Course <br />TYPE OF FACILITY /SERVICES: <br />PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITY <br />Mechanical /Electrical Consultants <br />PROJECTED BUDGET: <br />$ 4.6 Million <br />PROJECT START DATE: <br />2008 <br />PROJECT COMPLETION DATE: 2010 <br />Project Dewrlpflon: <br />The Project consisted of the design and construction of a new clubhouse and <br />restaurant facility with adjacent tennis courts and related site improvements <br />includng a golf can area, surface parking, utilities and receivi g/loadng area. The <br />rotor square footage area of this facility is approximately 21,530 square feet, <br />�► •..'Y' rd elevated opproximotely 3 feet above the existing grade level to maximize the view <br />of the golf course. The Tennis Courts added an approximate area of 7,200 square <br />feet. <br />The complex will accommodate a pro shop with ancillary space, men's and <br />women's lockers, restaurant and banquet facility for 200 patrons including a full <br />commercial kitchen to serve the restaurant and facilitate catering events; in <br />addition, the dning area includes a separate bar with seating capacity for <br />approximately 15 to 20 patrons. Administrative support offices and service areas <br />are induced in the project. The clubhouse will also include a courtyard with open <br />and covered areas that can enhance the doting experience to include outdoor <br />doting far larger banquet events. <br />The construction took place in two phases. with phase 1 having the existing facility <br />remain operational during construction while the new clubhouse was underway; <br />and phase 2, having the two tennis courts and the remaining site improvements <br />commenced upon the completion of the new building. The new Clubhouse / <br />Restaurant project at Melreese Golf Course for the City of Miami has been <br />registered with US Green Building Council (USGBC) with a sustainable gool of LEEDO <br />Silver that has been approved and is currently awaiting commissioning <br />clocumentotlon. The project will become the first City of Miami owned project to <br />be LEEDS Certified Silver rating. <br />Our firm provided the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fie Protection <br />Engineering Services. The nature of the firm's responsibility included engineering <br />design, cost estimating. specifications. shop drawings. field reports. construction <br />documentation preparation, products research and construction administration. <br />Iq <br />LOUIS J.
