QUALIFICATIONS <br />L/ SUBCONSULTANTS E SCIENCES <br />E Sciences, Incorporated (E Sciences) is an environmental, engineering and <br />a�SC en ecological consulting firm providing a wide range of services to clients in both the <br />public and private sectors. Our company was formed in 2000, bringing together a <br />team of professional and technical staff members with a long history of successfully <br />executing projects throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States. Our fundamental philosophy is <br />based on responsiveness, expertise and creating value for our clients. <br />E Sciences delivers strong project management, comprehensive multi - disciplinary services, knowledge <br />of specific regional issues, relevant experience, and dedication to technical excellence. This expertise <br />qualifies us as leaders in our field. We understand the challenges facing private companies and government <br />agencies, including scheduling constraints and shrinking budgets, and we respond by structuring our <br />project teams to deliver high value and excellent service. <br />For the Boyside Park project, E Sciences will be providing ecological services. Our ecological staff includes <br />full -time senior environmental scientists with degrees in soil and water science, ecology, biology, earth <br />science, and marine biology. <br />Marine and Coastal Ecology <br />E Sciences will provide assistance with sensitive marine ecosystems, including environmental issues related <br />to development, redevelopment, coastal research, and restoration of marine environments, including <br />permitting, surveys, assessments and monitoring: Permitting - Local (Class I), State and Federal (Environmental <br />Resource, Sovereign Submerged Lands, Coastal Construction Control Line(; benthic surveys, including <br />seagrosses, oysters, corals, sponges and other marine invertebrates; water quality monitoring; mangrove <br />surveys and permitting; sediment characterization and dredging (Vibrocore, ponar and bioassay testing); <br />manatee observation; creation of site - specific manatee protection plans; natural and artificial reef surveys <br />and monitoring; aquatic species surveys; essential fish habitat assessments (NEPA and NMFS); sea turtle <br />alternative lighting; and assistance with Green Morino practices. <br />Natural Systems Analysis <br />E Sciences ecologists and biologists will provide resource assessment and inventory services for public <br />agencies managing public lands or tasked with inventorying and addressing natural resources, as well <br />as private landowners seeking valuation of various ecological services their land can provides such as <br />water quality improvement and nutrient removal, carbon sequestration, and endangered /threatened <br />species conservation. E Sciences scientists and GIS technicians are highly skilled in the use of GIS and <br />GPS technologies to conduct natural resource inventorying and analysis such as canopy studies, nuisance <br />and exotic species mapping, native habitat mapping, historical land use changes, wildlife census and <br />surveying, and long -term ecological community structural changes. <br />E Sciences has recently conducted studies within North Bay Village and its vicinity. We are currently <br />conducting emergency water quality sampling for a sewer discharge in North Bay Village.
