I <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />PROJECT NAME: <br />Friedland Manor <br />Drainage Systems <br />Improvements and <br />Retention Area <br />CLIENT'S NAME: <br />City of Florida City <br />Mr. Pedro Gonzalez, PE <br />TYPE OF FACILITY <br />Civil Engineering <br />OR SERVICES: <br />Design of drainage <br />pipeline and retention <br />area <br />SRS PROJECT FEE: $37,500 <br />CONSTRUCTION $1,602,000 <br />COST: <br />COMPLETION DATE: 2009 <br />KEY INDIVIDUALS Ignacio Serralta, P.E. <br />INVOLVED: Oliverio Sanchez, P.E. <br />Jean - Claude Fontaneau <br />Marilys Falcon <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br />The purpose of this project was to provide storm <br />water retention for the drainage relief system of <br />the Friedland Manor neighborhood in Florida City. <br />The proposed retention area is connected to an <br />existing pumping system inside the Friedland <br />Manor area via a 30" diameter storm sewer pipe. <br />1 SRS conducted the storm water conveyance and <br />retention basin modeling, prepare construction <br />documents and assisted the City in obtaining <br />environmental permits for the Project. The project <br />included the design of a 10 -acre dry retention <br />basin, inlet structure with energy dissipation <br />features, a water level control devise with <br />wireless remote pump controls and solar /battery <br />capabilities, and seepage trenches for storm <br />water relief.
