<br />• Homestead Air Force Base, Pump Station #934, Homestead, Florida
<br />Principal In- Charge for the preparation of construction documents for upgrading PS #934 to
<br />MDWASD standards. Responsible for design of construction documents, demolition drawings,
<br />structural details, new electrical controls, SCADA, and new 12" force main. Obtaining
<br />permits, construction management, inspections, and close out.
<br />• Principal -in- charge for the design, permitting and construction phase services for several
<br />New Fire Rescue Stations including West Sunset, North Doral, Sunny Isles, Homestead, and
<br />Model City. These projects included the design of site utilities, parking area, and building
<br />sites. This work included the water and sewer service connections, site paving, grading, and
<br />drainage, pavement marking and signage plans. Our scope of work also included preparing
<br />and submitting water service agreement, DEP applications and construction plans for "dry-
<br />run" and "final" review by local regulatory agencies including Miami -Dade County Building
<br />Department, MDWASD, Miami -Dade Public Works Dept., Miami -Dade Fire Dept., DERM, and
<br />State of Florida Health Department.
<br />• Crandon Golf Course, Park and Marina, Key Biscayne, Florida. Project Civil Engineer
<br />for the design and construction phase services of new sewer systems. These projects
<br />involved the design of approximately 1,900 LF gravity sewer mains and two sewer pump
<br />stations. Work also included abandoning the existing septic tanks and drain fields and
<br />obtaining permits from DEP, DERM and the Building Department. Services included weekly
<br />construction meetings, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFI's, providing construction
<br />observations and preparing close -out documents.
<br />• Kendall Commons, Kendall Drive & SW 169 Ave., West Miami -Dade, Florida Principal
<br />In- Charge for the preparation of civil engineering design plans and specifications for the
<br />construction of an approximately 160 -acre traditional neighborhood district development
<br />which was comprised of 1,256 residential units, as well as over 132,000 sq. ft. of
<br />commercial retail, 15 -ac lake, and a 9 -acre school. Duties included the civil design of on -site
<br />roadways, paving and grading, drainage and storm water management systems, water and
<br />sewer systems, design of off -site 24" water main and 20" sewer force main extensions,
<br />regional sewer pump station with two 100 -HP pumps and backup generator.
<br />• Project Manager for the Owen Roberts International Airport, Cayman Islands, Land
<br />Side Master Plan Improvements. Responsibilities included the design and preparation of
<br />construction documents for the construction of land side master plan improvements including
<br />design of site master plan, geometry plan, demolition plan, paving, grading and drainage,
<br />new main entrance road, new paved long term parking area, two new staff parking areas,
<br />rental car parking area, new curbside loading /unloading areas and associated access drives.
<br />Sewer systems improvements included the design of a new 30,000 GPD sewage treatment
<br />plant, sewer pump station and force main.
