<br />Geotechnical Engineer
<br />Mr. Brian Hathaway is a licensed professional engineer with more than 14 years of
<br />professional experience with primary emphasis in geotechnical and civil
<br />engineering, subsurface exploration techniques, site characterization, CEI, QA/QC
<br />CMT, heavy civil construction, and construction management disciplines. Mr.
<br />Hathaway has managed and provided professional engineering services for various
<br />geotechnical and engineering construction related projects throughout Florida,
<br />Alabama, and Georgia. These projects have ranged from residential structures,
<br />commercial developments to state roadways, highways and bridges, office
<br />buildings, new schools and facilities improvements, hospitality structures, tower
<br />structures, parking garages, marine and port facilities, power and process facilities,
<br />heavy civil construction, stormwater drainage, earthen impoundment structures,
<br />filter marshes, park facilities, and landfills. The services provided by Mr. Hathaway
<br />involve all aspects of the project lifecycle including scope development, cost -
<br />estimating, subcontractor selection, project management, resource management,
<br />planning, execution, cost controls, scheduling, risk assessment, contract reviews,
<br />engineering analysis, design, and reporting.
<br />Mr. Hathaway also has valuable project experience with the operations of various
<br />in -situ testing methods and data interpretation including field instrumentation for
<br />geophysical testing methods, dilatometer, CPT, pressuremeter, seismograph
<br />monitoring, and inclinometers. Mr. Hathaway has a comprehensive understanding
<br />of soil mechanics and has laboratory experience with the performance of triaxial
<br />testing, consolidation, direct shear, CSR, and permeability testing configurations.
<br />Mr. Hathaway has provided project oversight for the design, installation, and
<br />inspection of drilled caissons, augercast piles, vibro - replacement stone columns,
<br />rammed aggregate piers (RAP), ductile iron pipe piles (DIP), driven steel pipe, and
<br />reinforced concrete piles. Mr. Hathaway has obtained certification through PDCA's
<br />Dynamic Measurement and Analysis Proficiency Test as a qualified Pile Driving
<br />Analyzer (PDA) operator.

<br />FDOT District 4 Districtwide Geotechnical and Materials Testing Contract
<br />Florida Department of Transportation District 4, Florida
<br />Project Manager /Senior Geotechnical Engineer: AMEC performed a total of 27
<br />task order assignments that were inclusive of geotechnical engineering, field
<br />explorations and material testing and inspection services for five counties within
<br />FDOT's District 4. Responsibilities consisted of Project Management, subcontractor
<br />management, scope development, proposal negotiations, and geotechnical
<br />engineering services and field reviews for projects that included but not limited to
<br />geotechnical explorations, miscellaneous sign structures, mast arm signalization
<br />improvements, drilled caisson installation inspections, noise barrier wall
<br />foundations, retention pond upgrades, slope stability analyses, stormwater drainage
<br />canal improvements, sheet pile stability analysis, bearing analysis for box culverts,
<br />and pavement assessment and roadway coring.

<br />Project Manager /Principal Geotechnical Engineer: AMEC has a task work order
<br />contract to provide geotechnical and construction materials services for the Florida
