FANDREI, P.E., PTOE <br />Principal <br />Mr. Fandrei has over 42 years of professional engineering experience, including more than 32 years here in South Florida. The <br />vast majority of this experience has been in traffic and transportation. He has worked on projects throughout the United <br />States and in the Caribbean Basin in both the private and public sectors as a manager and as an engineer. Prior to forming FCI, he was a principal with a <br />Miami-based traffic consulting firm providing professional services to clients in areas such as traffic studies, signal system <br />timing, traffic operations, neighborhood traffic control, engineering design and data collection. <br />Mr. Fandrei has design experience in both traffic and civil engineering. His experience extends from intersection and roadway <br />design in Belize; intersection design, signal design and interdisciplinary design team experience in the City of Detroit plus more <br />than 32 years of professional experience in southeast Florida including design of traffic signals, signal system timing, signing <br />and marking, maintenance of traffic, intersection design, transit station parking and roadway layouts. He also has experience <br />supervising design professionals on projects ranging from traffic signal design and design of guide signs through freeway and <br />interchange design. <br />Mr. Fandrei has extensive experience in data collection and analyses. He has managed data collection projects for his previous <br />employers including managing data collection operations. This work included not only supervision, but actual data collection in <br />the field. This hand on experience in actually performing a variety of data collection types as well as organizing studies along <br />with the strong practical traffic operations background provides an unusual combination of practical experience in technical <br />expertise. <br />3 Mr. Fandrei has experience in public involvement through his background in both the public and the private sectors. <br />Mr. Fandrei has prepared numerous traffic impact and concurrency studies for private sector clients and schools in South <br />Florida. He was the primary engineer responsible for the transportation portion of the DRIIADA for Miami International <br />Airport. He has been heavily involved in level of service studies in Miami -Dade County and Key West, Florida. He was involved <br />in a comprehensive traffic and parking study for Coconut Grove in the City of Miami, Florida. He worked as a traffic engineer <br />on the Houston transit system developing traffic assignments, analyzing traffic impacts, developing maintenance of traffic <br />plans and reviewing contractor submittals. Before moving to Miami he was employed by the Detroit Department of <br />Transportation where his responsibilities included traffic signal design and timing. Mr. Fandrei was the first person to utilize <br />TRANSYT for system optimization of signals in Detroit.
