(DPA) led the transportation planning and traffic engineering efforts for the \Museum Park Miami <br />project. This process started with an evaluation of the existing Bicentennial Park site through the Master Plan. Schematic Design, and <br />Design Development phases of the project. The Master Plan phase determined the existing traffic conditions adjacent to the site. including <br />bus routes. bus stops, roadway lane designations. traffic signal locations, pedestrian features, designated bicycle routes. and on- street <br />parking. Additionally. DPA undertook a preliminary site and transportation analysis. which framed the transportation- related issues for <br />the project. Preliminary access plans were evaluated that included vehicles (visitor, emergency, and service). pedestrians, transit and <br />bicycles. DPA also evaluated the vehicular traffic impacts to Biscayne Boulevard (US I) based on the project's development program. <br />During the Schematic Design phase of the project. DPA developed schematics for the internal roadway system and access points on <br />Biscayne Boulevard. DPA was the lead organization coordinating transportation and traffic issues with the Florida Department of <br />Transportation (FDOT). Miami -Dade County, and the city of Miami. DPA also assisted the team with parking master plan concepts and <br />preliminary roadway cost estimates. Design guidelines and design development drawings were prepared for the internal roadways and the <br />access points on Biscayne Boulevard. Additionally. DPA is the engineer -of -record for the new traffic signals serving the Museum Park <br />site on Biscayne Boulevard at NE 10 Street and NE I I Street. <br />�Ir <br />�l. <br />
