0 <br />11 <br />11 <br />Michael Kroll, RLA <br />Sr. Project Landscape Architect <br />Professional Experience: <br />During his extensive career, Mr. Kroll, <br />Vice President of Landscape <br />Architecture. Planning and <br />Environmental Services, has been actively <br />involved in projects ranging from large <br />scale habitat restoration to international <br />urban redevelopment projects. <br />Mr. Kroll's diverse professional <br />experience has led to projects that <br />successfully integrate environmental, <br />planning and landscape architectural <br />services. Under his leadership, Miller <br />Legg develops project solutions that <br />respond to the natural environment, <br />respect the social fabric and create <br />sustainable aesthetic spaces. <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />City of Miami Moore Park - This <br />design/build project involved the <br />renovation of a portion of the existing <br />Moore Park which included a new LEED <br />Gold community center building and <br />daycare building, new basketball courts, a <br />new park green area with pavilions and <br />the associated pathway and <br />parking/driveway areas. The site is <br />located at the northeast corner of NW <br />I Oth Avenue and NW 36rh Street in the <br />City of Miami. Services provided by <br />Miller Legg included civil engineering <br />design, regulatory agency permitting, <br />topographic and other surveys and <br />construction administration services. <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Pelican <br />Community Park - A three -acre active <br />park site, for which Miller Legg managed <br />landscape architecture, irrigation, <br />engineering, surveying and architecture <br />designs for a baseball field, recreation <br />building, playground structure, <br />gymnasium, and related site amenities <br />within the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />The project management team at Miller <br />Legg received recognition from the City <br />for their involvement in the design <br />completion of the park. In addition, <br />Miller Legg provided construction <br />observation services. In addition, we <br />also provided grant assistance to secure <br />a Florida Recreational Development <br />Assistant Program (FRDAP) grant for <br />$200,000. FRDAP is a competitive grant <br />program that provides financial <br />assistance to local governments for <br />development or acquisition of land for <br />public outdoor recreational purposes. <br />Award: Award of Merit American Society of <br />Landscape Architects, Florida Chapter, 2009 <br />Plantation Preserve S Golf Club - <br />This 213 -acre project involved the City <br />of Plantation's acquisition of the former <br />Plantation Golf Club and the subsequent <br />design of an Audubon - certified par 72 <br />championship golf course incorporating a <br />1.5 -mile linear trail recreational <br />component within the center of the <br />proposed golf course, as well as 1,000 <br />feet of entrance roadway relocated for <br />SW 70th Avenue from SR 842/Broward <br />Boulevard. Miller Legg coordinated with <br />the Florida Department of <br />Transportation on this roadway entrance <br />feature. Funding for this project was <br />secured through the Florida <br />Communities Trust (FCT), the Broward <br />County Open Space Fund and the sale of <br />on -site created wedand credits. Services <br />Miller Legg provided included: overall <br />project management services as well as <br />site master planning, wetland mitigation <br />design and environmental permitting, <br />surveying, landscape architecture, <br />engineering services, stormwater <br />management, flora and fauna evaluation, <br />archaeological coordination and <br />construction services. <br />Town of Davie Math Igler Park - <br />The project entailed development of a <br />conceptual park master plan for the two - <br />acre site for the Town of Davie. The <br />park would serve as a passive park for <br />the surrounding neighborhood. The <br />Miller Legg team created a design that <br />paid homage to the heritage of the site <br />as an old citrus processing/packaging site. <br />The design of the tot lots followed the <br />theme of'orange processing' from <br />picking oranges in a grove setting to <br />
