E <br />11 <br />J <br />Ronald Rollins, RLA <br />Landscape Architect <br />Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Rollins is responsible for landscape <br />architectural design for a variety of <br />public and private projects including <br />roadway landscaping and irrigation, <br />active and passive park landscape design, <br />as well as residential and commercial <br />projects. <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />City of Miami Gibson Park Design <br />Criteria Report - For this 12 -acre park <br />in the City of Miami, Miller Legg <br />provided miscellaneous civil engineering <br />services including as -built research, <br />design compliance review, report writing <br />as well as bidding and construction <br />assistance for the design criteria report. <br />City of Miami Moore Park Master <br />Plan Design Criteria Report - For an <br />approximate six -acre portion of the City <br />of Miami's Moore Park, Miller Legg <br />provided miscellaneous civil engineering <br />services including as -built research, <br />design compliance review, report <br />writing, as well as bidding and <br />construction assistance for the design <br />criteria report <br />City of Miramar Forzano Park <br />Improvements Phase 1 - The City of <br />Miramar plans to improve an existing 13- <br />acre active park to convert sport usage <br />and to improve operating conditions. <br />The existing baseball clay infields, outfield <br />and football field grass will be removed <br />and modified to provide additional <br />football/soccer field space. Park <br />amenities also include volleyball courts <br />and a community center. As a <br />subconsukant to R.J. Behar, Miller Legg <br />will provide planning, landscape <br />architecture, irrigation design and <br />topographic survey. <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Pelican <br />Community Park - A three -acre active <br />park site, for which Miller Legg managed <br />landscape architecture, irrigation, <br />engineering, surveying and architecture <br />designs for a baseball field, recreation <br />building, playground structure, <br />gymnasium, and related site amenities <br />within the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />The project management team at Miller <br />Legg received recognition from the City <br />for their involvement in the design <br />completion of the park. In addition, <br />Miller Legg provided construction <br />observation services. In addition, we <br />also provided grant assistance to secure <br />a Florida Recreational Development <br />Assistant Program ( FRDAP) grant for <br />$200,000. FRDAP is a competitive grant <br />program that provides financial <br />assistance to local governments for <br />development or acquisition of land for <br />public outdoor recreational purposes. <br />Award: Award of Merft, American Society of <br />Landscape Architects, Florida Chapter, 2009 <br />Town of Davie Clark Park - Miller <br />Legg provided a conceptual site plan for <br />the 1.5 acre park in Davie. The park <br />included a tot lot/playground, parking for <br />six vehicles, picnic shelter, ADA <br />accessibility, park benches and a bike <br />rack <br />Town of Davie Math Igler Park - <br />The project entailed development of a <br />conceptual park master plan for the two - <br />acre site for the Town of Davie. The <br />park would serve as a passive park for <br />the surrounding neighborhood. The <br />Miller Legg team created a design that <br />paid homage to the heritage of the site <br />as an old citrus processing/packaging site. <br />The design of the tot lots followed the <br />theme of'orange processing' from <br />picking oranges in a grove setting to <br />processing them. Included in the park <br />program was a connection to the area <br />horse trails, a large picnic gazebo with <br />open play areas associated with it two <br />tot lots, a small parking lot and a <br />butterfly garden and retention area that <br />is enhanced as a cypress dome.
