® Dylan Larson, PWS, CEP, CLI <br />Sr. Environmental Specialist/Permitting <br />• <br />MILLER \` LEGG <br />Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Larson has significant experience in <br />environmental consulting in Florida and <br />is responsible for overseeing and <br />performing studies and investigations on <br />biological and ecological impacts affecting <br />the firm's projects. This includes field <br />evaluations, assessments, <br />recommendations and report writing. <br />Dylan has established himself as a <br />valuable leader and team member on a <br />variety of the firm's projects that have <br />involved environmental issues. Specific <br />responsibilities include: wetland <br />jurisdictional determination, dredge and <br />fill permitting, wetland mitigation design, <br />mitigation monitoring, recommendations <br />for maintenance procedures. <br />coordination and oversight of <br />environmental GIS applications, and <br />assistance with plan preparations and <br />mitigation. In addition, Dylan is a <br />Principal and member of the firm's <br />Leadership Council. <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />Broward County Parks and <br />Recreation West Lake Park I - <br />Engineering Services - Phase one of <br />this 1,500 -acre award- winning <br />environmental park and nature center in <br />Hollywood. Services provided included: <br />paving and drainage improvements for <br />the nature center and associated parking <br />lot, design of three sewage pump <br />stations, water distribution system <br />design, sanitary sewage collection and <br />transmission system design, off -site force <br />main, traffic engineering, surveying, <br />environmental mitigation and design, and <br />restoration of mangrove preservation <br />areas. Award: Engineering Excellence <br />Award, American Council of Engineering <br />Componies, 2004 <br />City of Pembroke Pines Flamingo <br />Park Expansion - A 25 -acre active -use <br />park expansion project along Flamingo <br />Road in Pembroke Pines. The amenities <br />include baseball fields, tot lot, concession <br />buildinglclub house and maintenance <br />building. Services provided included: <br />surveying, platting, paving and drainage <br />design, water and sewer design, lighting <br />and construction observation and <br />management. <br />City of Fort Lauderdale Mills Pond <br />Park Environmental Construction <br />Observation - The City of Fort <br />Lauderdale hired Miller Legg to provide <br />construction observation in the highly <br />environmentally sensitive area at Mills <br />Pond Park. Miller Legg is ensuring <br />adherence to the specifications and <br />permit criteria and prevent accidental <br />damage to protected vegetation and <br />resources that are present on -site. <br />Construction of this off -site mitigation <br />was achieved through a combination of <br />nuisance and exotic vegetation removal <br />and planting of over 6,600 freshwater <br />and saltwater - tolerant trees, shrubs and <br />groundcover at the Park. Services <br />provided include design, permitting <br />modifications through Broward County, <br />South Florida Water Management <br />District, US Army Corps of Engineers. <br />bid documentation, construction <br />administration, environmental <br />monitoring, cost estimates, scheduling, <br />conservation easements, sketch and legal <br />descriptions, construction layout, field <br />modifications, construction management, <br />agency coordination, compliance and <br />outreach program to ensure project <br />success. <br />Broward County Parks and <br />Recreation Secret Woods Park <br />Dock - As part of the team providing <br />surveying and environmental services to <br />Broward County Parks Department, <br />Miller Legg was tasked to obtain <br />approval for adding boat docks to the <br />existing boardwalk structure. Prepared <br />permit sketches and application permit <br />information. Permitting was done with <br />Broward County Environmental <br />Protection and Growth Management <br />Department. U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers and South Florida Water <br />Management District for sovereign <br />
