I -95 Downtown Distributor Ramps PD &E Study <br />Mr. Espinosa was the project manager for the I -95 Downtown Distributor Ramps PD &E Study. This complex <br />urban interstate reconstruction project analyzed new alternatives to eliminate the Distributor Ramps partially or <br />totally. Each alternative provided a multilane Boulevard along SW 3 Street extending easterly from I -95 up to <br />Biscayne Boulevard. The project also established a Circulation Loop within the Downtown Area. <br />Biscayne Boulevard Corridor Study <br />Mr. Espinosa was the Project Manager for the Biscayne Boulevard Corridor Study. This study evaluated the <br />urbanization of Biscayne Boulevard in the general area between of NE 5th Street and NE 13th Street. The goal <br />was to improve the aesthetics, pedestrian connections, drainage, and operations of this segment of Biscayne <br />Boulevard. Mr. Espinosa developed the traffic models in CORSIM for the proposed analyzed alternatives for the <br />mid -day and afternoon peak hours. Additionally, signal timings were optimized using SIGNAL2000. <br />Miami -Dade County MPO Safe Routes to Park Study <br />Mr. Espinosa was the Project Manager for the Safe Routes to Park Study. This study was conducted for the <br />Miami -Dade MPO and consisted of preparing pedestrian safety plans for selected County parks and <br />developing a toolbox of pedestrian safety countermeasures that can be used to guide pedestrian safety <br />® improvements at additional County parks. <br />Miami -Dade County MPO Miami Gardens Circulator Study <br />Mr. Espinosa was the Project Manager for the Miami Gardens Circulator Study. This study determined the <br />feasibility of implementing a transit circulator for the City of Miami Gardens. In general, the study: identified <br />the demand and level of interest in local circulator; established the service parameters to fulfill the need; <br />estimated the capital and operating costs; and identified potential funding sources to assess the potential <br />ridership, the expected general costs, and other impacts of implementing a circulator system in and around the <br />City of Miami Gardens.
