<br />and ultimately producing a comprehensive redevelopment plan for the 2,800 -foot corridor. The project included a three -acre urban
<br />o waterfront park, including a participatory fountain, park pavilion, multilevel plaza, bulkhead, and pier. The project included planning,
<br />® design, permitting, structural design, and construction phase services for seawalls, aids to navigation, and a four -slip courtesy dock.
<br />Royal Palm Pointe was awarded the 2002 ASLA Award of Honor and the American Council of Engineering Companies National
<br />o Recognition Award for Engineering Excellence in 2002.
<br />®Veterans' Community Park Master Plan, Marco Island, FL — Landscape architect for the Kimley -Horn team selected to provide
<br />master planning and public involvement services for this seven -acre central park in the Town Center district of Marco Island. The park
<br />® will serve as a social center for the community and will feature an amphitheater, civic green, waterfront promenade, fountain plaza, and
<br />® a performing arts center.
<br />® Ocean Park, Vero Beach, FL — Project manager providing all due diligence, urban design, entitlements, landscape architecture for
<br />® the intense redevelopment of this 1 -acre oceanfront mixed -use project in Vero Beach. The program includes retail, restaurant and
<br />® residential uses along with the design of S1 million worth of improvements to an adjacent main commercial street and public park.
<br />This highly controversial project was the only project approved under the City's Vision Enhancement Project ordinance. Scheduled for
<br />® completion in September of 2009, the project will become the new anchor at the south end of the City's Oceanside business district.
<br />®Central and North Indian River County Greenways Plan, Indian River County, FL — Served as principal -in- charge. As a
<br />subconsultant to another firm, involved in preparing the Greenway Master Plan for Central and North Indi an River County. The
<br />® project included a significant public involvement element, data gathering and assimilation, document review, and presentation for a
<br />® greenway plan within an urbanized and rural environment. The plan incorporates mapping of historical structures, water crossings,
<br />road crossings, and cultural features into a synchronized network. The conceptual master plan serves as a guide for local officials and
<br />® future partners for selecting appropriate areas for greenways; prioritizing the greenway corridors; identifying funding opportunities;
<br />® and forming an oversight committee to carry out the construction, maintenance, and management of the greenways. Developed a
<br />® prioritizaton process based on the Greenways Evaluation Criteria, such as benefits, constructability, and cost. An implementation plan
<br />was crafted that included project phasing, potential funding sources, integration with ongoing capital improvements, environmental
<br />® impacts and partnership strategies, and a proposal to extend the project into other areas of the County.

<br />CR 707/Dixie Highway Roadway Improvements and Streetscape Design, Stuart, FL — Landscape architect. Kimley -Horn
<br />prepared construction documents to support the development of the Rio Town Center Streetscape. The existing two -lane rural roadway
<br />® was visualized to be reconstructed into a two -lane, divided urban corridor with on- street parking, a community featured roundabout
<br />® to accommodate a future art installation, 10- foot -wide sidewalks along either side, landscapingfhardscape improvements, and street
<br />® lighting. The corridor will serve as the backbone of the Rio Town Center master development plan. Consulting services included
<br />construction document development, agency permitting, public involvement workshops, coordination with franchise utility operators to
<br />® support undergrounding of overhead utilities, and construction phase services. Roadway construction was completed in June 2012,
<br />® and we are currently working on the design for the sidewalk improvements.
<br />® Fleming Island Plantation Landscape Architectural Improvements, Fleming Island, FL — Served as landscape architect for this
<br />® 2,300 -acre, mixed -use planned development southwest of Jacksonville in Clay County. Services included project master planning, site
<br />planning, development approval coordination, and design services for more than S10 million in landscape architectural improvements.
<br />The project consists of multiple development components including 3,500 residential units, more than one million square feet of
<br />® non - residential (including a 38 -acre mixed -use town center), three schools, and five parks. A key element of the design program
<br />® included preservation of pristine wetlands and uplands, and integration of these elements as amenities into the project. This project is a
<br />® centerpiece for Centex Homes' Florida development.
<br />® Streetscape for SR 60 and 58th Avenue, Indian River County, FL — Member of the Kimley -Horn team providing streetscape
<br />® services for this project that involves widening one of the most prominent intersections in Indian River County from four lanes to six
<br />lanes by adding turn lanes. The intersection involved is a high - profile one with limited right -of -way; because of the limited right -of -way,
<br />® streetscape and landscape opportunities will be somewhat limited as well. A joint venture with private and public property owners will
<br />® be necessary to make improvements to the streets, which belong to both entities.
