This section of Seacrest Boulevard is currently a five -lane roadway with two northbound and
southbound lanes with a continuous center turning lane. The roadway is somewhat limited as it relates to pedestrian features such
as wide sidewalks and hardscape elements. There are no shade trees along the corridor or other landscaping. The plans for this
section of roadway include the design of a center landscaped median throughout the corridor. Additionally, we will be replacing
the existing sidewalks along the corridor with wider sidewalks and installing canopy trees to provide shade for the pedestrians.
Additional lighting improvements are also being considered. Upon the completion of the median and landscaping, the entire
roadway will be milled and resurfaced.
Lake Worth Beach Redevelopment, Lake Worth, FL
After helping formalize an interlocal agreement (ILA) between Palm Beach County and the City of Lake Worth for funding
improvements to the historic Lake Worth Beach and Casino site, Kimley -Horn is now providing planning, permitting, site civil
engineering , and landscape architecture services for the redevelopment of the site. Some specific upgrades include:
• Reconfigured surface parking area (approximately 660
spaces)
• Improved internal vehicular and pedestrian circulation
• Upgraded and enhanced landscaping
• Upgraded passive recreation areas, open air pavilions, public
lawns, public restrooms, and picnic areas
• Enhanced pier plaza with shade sails
• New `turtle- friendly" site lighting along the beachfront
• New playground area
This project serves as a testament to Kimley- Horn's diligence and
work ethic to help secure funding, maintain project schedules and
deliver the long- awaited redevelopment of Lake Worth's public Beach
and Casino.
Schedule of Proposed Services
The preparation of a detailed project schedule taking all anticipated tasks into account serves as a critical component to meet the
City's deadlines. Kimley- Horn's extensive civil/environmental engineering related experience throughout Florida allows us to make
certain we fully comprehend the required tasks that must be completed and timeframes associated with them.
When required, our team can accelerate work to meet a change in project schedule; this process is used frequently when
workloads require extra personnel. It allows our team to be flexible and be able to react to all types of scheduling changes.
Kimley -Horn is confident in its ability to monitor project schedules to meet the City of Sunny Isles Beach's expectations, and we are
prepared to commit the necessary resources to ensure that your projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Kimley- Horn "s sample project schedule for RFO 14 -07 -02 is provided in Section 4 Approach/Methodology.
R 1a -0m
OYZ 1.14-0 Si yIsles Seat Cr=J PNessviel Service,.
Kimley »)Horn
-Yt f
The preparation of a detailed project schedule taking all anticipated tasks into account serves as a critical component to meet the
City's deadlines.
