0 Force Main Route Evaluation Report, North Bay Village, FL — Served as project engineer for the Kimley -Horn team that developed
a force main route evaluation report for the City's force main system. The City's existing sub - aqueous 12 -inch force main system was
® old and deteriorating and required replacement. The proposed 16 -inch force main from the City's main pump station was evaluated
0 to determine the most beneficial route either to the east with a connection point located in the City of Miami Beach or to the west
with a connection point in Miami -Dade County. The proposed force main route included both open -cut and horizontal direction drill
0 (HDD) segments for either approach. The evaluation process included coordination with stakeholders and permitting agencies that
0 had jurisdiction and/or influence over the project to identify requirements, concerns, and obtain feedback pertaining to issues that
® affect the permitting, design, construction, schedule, and cost of the proposed project. The final force main route evaluation report
addressed stakeholders' issues, permit feasibility, project timeframes, preliminary opinions of probable cost, and a recommendation to
0 proceed with the preferred route. The report also included proposed connection points, overall pipe lengths, construction methods, pipe
0 material, and known or potential issues and constraints for each route including environmental issues.
0 Force Main Rehabilitation Design Criteria Package, North Bay Village, FL — Served as project manager. Based on an approved force
0 main route evaluation report, Kimley -Horn developed a Design Criteria Package (DCP) for the City's force main rehabilitation program. The
® DCP was used to select a design -build team for construction of the City's new force main system. The DCP included schematic design
drawings for the remaining open -cut force main route, hydraulic modeling of the main wastewater pump station and force main system,
0 design plans for environmental permitting, design criteria for construct of the project, documents to address land ownership issues, design-
build contracts or `front end" documents, and associated opinions of probable construction costs. The DCP also included field survey,
© environmental survey, geotechnical analysis, extensive utility data collection, stakeholder coordination, and governmental coordination,
including a wastewater agreement with the Miami -Dade Water and Sewer Department. The DCP was submitted to the State of Florida and
0 approved for both American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding and State Revolving Loan dollars.
0 Force Main Rehabilitation Design -Build Project, Construction Administration, North Bay Village, FL — Based on development
® and approval of a Design Criteria Package (DCP), advertisement of that package, and selection of a Design -Build Team (DBT), served
® as project manager and engineer to provide construction administration services for the City's 4.5 million dollar force main rehabilitation
® program. The project included plan and permit package review during the design development phases, as well as construction
administration tasks, such as shop drawing review, pay application review, contract clarification, onsite observations, and contract
0 close -out. The project included extensive coordination with impacted stakeholders and permitting agencies such as Department of
® Environmental Protection, Department of Environmental Resource Management, Miami -Dade Park and Recreation, Miami -Dade Water
and Sewer Department, City of Miami, Florida Department of Transportation, and Miami -Dade School Board. The project also included
®
assisting the City in collecting 3.5 million dollars in grant and loan funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
® (ARRA) and State Revolving Loan (SRL) programs.
® Main Wastewater Pump Station Rehabilitation Project, North Bay Village, FL — Served as project manager and engineer to
® developed construction documents and permitting documentation for the rehabilitation of the City's main wastewater pump station.
® The project included analyzing the existing pumping and control equipment to develop a rehabilitation approach to increase system
efficiency, reduce system maintenance, and provide a reliable, redundant pump station to better serve the City. The design included
® pump station equipment rehabilitation, control modifications, installation of Variable Frequency Drives, Motor Control Center (MCC),
® upgrade to the electrical service, and Citywide SCADA system.
® 24 -inch Water Main Route Evaluation Report and Design, West Palm Beach, FL — Served as project manager. As a result of
0 the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) relocating the Flagler Memorial Bridge, the City of West Palm Beach was required
® to relocate an existing subaqueous 24 -inch water main that conflicted with the new bridge location. To implement the most beneficial
relocation route for the City, Kimley -Horn developed a water main route evaluation report. The project included evaluating four alternative
® water main alignments to cross the Intracoastal Waterway from the City of West Palm Beach to the Town of Palm Beach. The report
® discussed community impacts, constructability, permit feasibility, and a recommendation to proceed with a preferred water main route.
0 General Engineering Services, Plantation, FL — Served as project manager providing general consulting services for the City of
® Plantation. Worked closely with the City on numerous roadway, drainage, and community enhancement projects, as well as traffic
® studies associated with the proposed improvements. Services have included general planning to develop cost - effective streetscape
and beautification approaches and a traffic calming program. Also assist the City in implementing those visions with thorough, cost-
0 effective roadway, traffic, lighting, landscaping, irrigation, and drainage designs followed by construction phase services
