Ly n n Kiefer <br />® Environmental Assessment for Pompano Beach Airpark Runway 15 -33 Rehabilitation and Extension, Pompano Beach, FL <br />Environmental manager for the preparation of the Environmental Assessment for the extension of Runway 15 -33. Services include <br />® listed species surveys for gopher tortoise, scrub jays and burrowing owls as well as data collection and analysis for social, natural and <br />% physical environmental effects. Responsible for the permitting of gopher tortoise and burrowing owl relocations and coordination with <br />® FAA. Also responsible for the tree removal and mitigation permits and for providing testimony at the County Variance Hearing. <br />® Pompano Beach Tri -Rail Station Categorical Exclusion, Pompano Beach, FL — Serving as lead environmental scientist. SRFTA <br />% proposed improvements to the existing Tri -Rail Station at Pompano Beach. The proposed improvements included widening the <br />® existing platforms and providing canopies; modifications to access ramps for ADA compliance; new pedestrian overpass; removal of <br />existing and construction of new customer service kiosks and employee restroom; existing parking lot modifications to improve bus <br />® circulation, taxi staging areas, and kiss & drop -off areas; addition of benches, bike racks and lockers; landscaping; installation of energy <br />® efficient LED lighting, machine room -less elevators and solar panels for electric generation; and retrofitting and upgrading the existing <br />drainage facilities. Kimley -Horn is in the process of completing the Categorical Exclusion for review approval by FTA. Kimley -Horn also <br />® completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) to identify potential contamination concerns on the property. <br />®CR 712 (Midway Road) Design and Reconstruction, FDOT District Four — Environmental manager responsible for environmental <br />permitting for the reconstruction of Midway Road from a two -lane, rural roadway to a four -lane, divided urban roadway from west of <br />® South 25th Street to east of SR 5 (US 1), for a length of two miles. The project includes replacement of the existing bridge over the <br />® North Fork of the St. Lucie River and will also include retaining walls, drainage ponds, signing, lighting, signalization, landscaping, <br />® irrigation, and wetland mitigation. The corridor is within a historic area and our design will consider right -of -way impacts, impacts <br />to parks and schools, concerns of White City residents, access management changes, flooding and environmental concerns, 4(f) <br />® properties, utilities and, possibly, decorative lighting within the historic limits. <br />® Disney's Vero Beach Resort, Vero Beach, FL — Prepared applications and obtained environmental permits for the Disney Beach <br />® Resort in Vero Beach. This permitting included coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Florida Game and <br />® Freshwater Fish Commission for potential impacts to southeastern beach mouse habitat and sea turtles. Prepared applications and <br />® coordinated the issuance of coastal construction control line permits from Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for <br />beachfront structures and dune crossovers. Responsible for construction observation of coastal construction activities and preparation <br />® of monthly progress reports to FDEP. <br />® Eagle Ridge Mall, Lake Wales, FL — Environmental task manager responsible for wetland delineation, environmental permitting, <br />® and the construction inspection and permit compliance monitoring for a 40 -acre freshwater marsh mitigation area at Eagle Ridge Mall. <br />® Construction mitigation involved weekly site inspections to determine soil suitability, hydrologic regime, excavation monitoring, and <br />® plant selection suitability. Following the construction, performed time zero monitoring and prepared the required documentation for <br />compliance with permits issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the <br />® Southwest Florida Water Management District. The project has been released and deemed successful by the regulatory agencies. <br />®Oars and Paddles Park, Indian Harbour Beach, FL — Environmental scientist on the Kimley -Horn team that worked with the Brevard <br />County Parks and Recreation Department to provide the following services for the Oars and Paddles Park: conceptual site planning, <br />® landscape architecture, civil engineering design and permitting, community involvement, dock design and permitting, traffic analysis <br />® and permitting, environmental permitting, environmental services, shoreline stabilization/restoration design, drainage, and construction <br />® observation. This park features restrooms, paved walkways, a pavilion, boathouse, floating dock, nature trail, and parking. <br />® Turnpike Mainline Widening from Lake Worth to Jupiter, PD &E Study and Design, Palm Beach County, FL — Senior <br />® environmental task manager for this 23 -mile PD &E study. Kimley -Horn prepared all of the engineering and environmental reports <br />necessary to evaluate impacts for the proposed widening of a 23 -mile section of the Turnpike in Palm Beach County. This project <br />® included a public information meeting and a public hearing. Kimley -Horn also developed alternative improvement options to add <br />® express toll lanes to Okeechobee Boulevard and PGA Boulevard interchanges. Also recommended was an addition of a new <br />® interchange at Hood Road. The Palm Beach Metropolitan Planning Organization has added this interchange to their 2030 Long Range <br />Transportation Plan.
