<br />construction services for a new cell and closure of an existing one. Total construction costs for
<br />® both projects are in excess of $20 million and involve multiple disciplines.
<br />® Landfill and Solid Waste Engineering Contract, Miami -Dade Department of Solid Waste,
<br />® Miami -Dade County, FL — Principal -in- Charge of a S1.3- million landfill and solid waste
<br />® engineering contract. Responsible for the preparation of request for bid documents for design/
<br />® build projects in excess of S2- million, design of transfer station improvements, and review of
<br />financial documentation in support of grant funding for landfill closure. Project manager for the
<br />® closure design and permitting of Cells 17 and 18 ash monofill at the County's 3,000 -ton per day
<br />® resource recovery facility.
<br />® Rapid Roll -Off and Recycling, Deerfield Beach, FL — As project manager, designed,
<br />® permitted, and was in charge of the management of a construction and demolition debris
<br />® materials recovery facility and transfer station. The project included a 4,000- square -foot
<br />reinforced concrete pad, a sanitary sewer connection and a surface water management system
<br />® that provides total on -site retention for the 25 -year, 3 -day storm event. Permitting included solid
<br />® waste permit from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and an environmental
<br />® resource permit for the storm water system.
<br />® Security Estates, Miami, FL — As project manager, provided permitting assistance during the
<br />® planning construction of this privately -owned construction and demolition debris landfill. Served
<br />® as Principal -in- Charge for the closure design and permitting for this facility.
<br />® Construction and Demolition Debris Landfill, Miami -Dade County, FL — Project Manager
<br />® responsible for permitting two C &D disposal facilities located in southern Miami -Dade County.
<br />Work included the preparation of documents for submittal to both the Florida Department
<br />® of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and Miami -Dade County Department of Environmental
<br />® Resources Management. Responded to regulatory compliance issues related to new FDEP
<br />® regulations for C &D disposal sites. Documents prepared included an operations plan, training
<br />plan, groundwater monitoring plan, closure and post - closure plan, and closure cost estimates.
<br />® North Dade Landfill Vertical Expansion and Closure, Miami -Dade County, FL — Project
<br />Engineer. Worked on the design, permitting, and construction for the closure of a 100 -acre
<br />landfill for Miami -Dade County. The project included the development of a groundwater
<br />® monitoring plan, preparation of a closure permit application for Phase I of the landfill site, and
<br />® preparation of a construction permit application for Phase 11. This innovative design involved
<br />the construction of a new landfill over a previously filled area. Her responsibilities included
<br />® calculation of anticipated leachate quantities, detailed design of leachate and stormwater
<br />® management systems, and preparation of plans and specifications for construction.
