E <br />Professional Services <br />Roadway Design <br />Roadway design and planning is one of the mainstays of our firm's professional <br />practice, and we are well equipped to address all related aspects of roadway <br />design projects, such as intersection geometrics, utility relocations, traffic control, <br />signalization, structural/bridge design, and other features. Paving and drainage <br />services are often an integral part of our roadway design projects, and our <br />substantial experience in dealing with regulatory and other agencies enables us to <br />secure the necessary permits and approvals for building and upgrading roadway <br />facilities. Our track record of achieving necessary agency approvals and gaining <br />public support for major projects is impressive. <br />FDOT Coordination <br />Architectural, Landscape Architectural, <br />Engineering and Land Surveying Firms Only (CCNA) <br />As one of the premier transportation firms in the state, we have made it our primary focus to work closely with the Florida <br />® Department of Transportation (FDOT) Districts. Our coordination with various districts has resulted in many long -term contracts <br />® for highway and roadway design, traffic operations and safety studies, access management, bridge repair and replacement, and <br />other services. It is from this vast wealth of experience that we can assist our clients in coordinating their projects with the policies <br />® and practices of FDOT. Kimley -Horn also has extensive experience developing and administering Local Agency Program (LAP) <br />® projects per FDOT /FHWA requirements. <br />® Stormwater ManagemenUDrainage <br />® The firm's drainage engineering services have been called upon for numerous state, regional, county, and municipal projects and <br />® for the majority of our major agricultural, industrial, and residential development projects as well. Our staff has the expertise to <br />conduct the necessary studies to prepare stormwater management plans. We have also completed plans based on previously <br />® prepared studies. <br />® In Miami -Dade County, Kimley -Horn has provided citywide stormwater master plans, created their stormwater capital improvement <br />® plans (CIP), and developed stormwater utilities for the Town of Miami Lakes, the Village of Palmetto Bay, and the Town of Cutler <br />® Bay. We have also assisted those municipalities in developing stormwater utilities, joining the National Flood Insurance Program, <br />and implementing their Community Rating System (CRS) Programs. Miami Lakes currently has a CRS rating of 5 and Cutler Bay <br />® has a CRS rating of 6. Our services have <br />encompassed drainage consultation and permit application <br />preparation, including applications to regional water management <br />districts and various state agencies. Representative projects <br />include the design of canals, culvert crossings, water control <br />structures, roads, levees, bridges, and pump stations. These <br />project areas range in size from 400 to over 130,000 acres. Our <br />stormwater management expertise includes hydrological and <br />hydraulic analyses as well as surveying, planning, permitting, and <br />designing water control structures ranging from pipes and culverts <br />to major control structures on canals and waterways.
