J <br />throughout its residential and ='• <br />commercial business districts for many <br />years, stemming primarily from its <br />geographic location and the lack of a ' <br />regularly scheduled canal cleanup <br />plan, preventive maintenance schedule, or coordination to develop <br />realistic timetables to complete all projects related to flood protection. <br />With funds provided by FEMA and the Florida Department of <br />Environmental Protection (FDEP), the City of Opa -Locka hired a <br />consultant to develop a program to mitigate the flooding problems <br />faced by the City. <br />As a sub - consultant to the prime firm, CES was responsible for the <br />construction engineering and inspection services overseeing the <br />activities performed by the contractor for the following: <br />✓ Canal cleaning and dredging <br />✓ Installation of Filter Fabric & Geoweb <br />• Canal stabilization material <br />• Installation of rip -rap <br />• Cost estimating <br />• Primavera Scheduling <br />In addition to providing inspection services, CES provided contract <br />administration support, reviewed and approved progress payments, <br />participated in monthly construction progress meetings, and assisted <br />the City with preparation of reports to be submitted to FEMA. <br />Co of Sunny Isles Beach 16 <br />Continuing Professional Services for engineering <br />= Q No. 14 -07 -02 <br />august 12.2014 C1)v1¢c11T5 mL. <br />
