The
deficiencies identified in these areas included inadequate
protection, low service pressures, and on aging infrastructure.
fire
CES was contracted to design approximately 72,000 L.F. of 6 -inch water
main and provide other design services for the City of Miramar,
including a directionally drilled 8 -inch Ductile Iron Pipe section of 120
L.F. main. The new design improved fire protection for the City's
neighborhoods, which were at the time serviced by 2 -inch and 4 -inch
water mains. CES was also tasked with locating fire hydrants to be
connected to existing water mains with a diameter of 6 inches or
greater. Upon construction, the end result will give residents essential
fire protection, increased water flow in the City, and better water
pressure to homes and businesses in the area. The project is bound by
Pembroke Rd., the Florida Turnpike, University Drive, and SW 68th
Avenue.
The CES design team will maintain frequent communication with the
client to discuss the project's progress and ensure the client's
expectations are met.
Services Provided:
✓ Route Analysis
✓ Design and Plans Preparation
✓ Development of Contract Specifications
✓ water Master Plan for Project Area
✓ Striping & Pavement Marking Inventory
✓ Existing Utilities & Future Project Coordination
✓ Permitting
✓ Construction Phase Services
City of Sunny Isles Beach 15
Continuing Eroiessiorcl Services for Engineering
RFQ No. 14-07-02
August 12. 2014
