Mohan Gopalakrishna, PE, PTOE <br />Roadway Design <br />Mr. Gopalakrishna has more than 20 years of engineering experience serving <br />as a senior traffic specialist including traffic operations and safety studies, <br />traffic signal design, signing /pavement marking design, and street lighting <br />analysis and design. His traffic experience includes impact studies, traffic <br />data collection, Intersection Assessments, Arterial Analysis Assessments, <br />Signal Warrant Analysis, signal system retiming, Crash Analysis, Intersection <br />Delay Study, Level of Service Analysis, Traffic Signal Optimization, safety <br />studies, PD &E, Traffic Tech Memorandums and access management. <br />He has extensive experience in design, production, and management <br />of all phases of roadway projects including limited access highways and <br />freeways design. He has managed traffic projects for FDOT Districts 1 through <br />7 and for Florida's Turnpike Enterprise with quality assurance/ quality control <br />for design plans and calculations related to Lighting, Signals and Signing/ <br />Pavement Marking. The projects include widening, 3R, design build and <br />3P projects, wherein he ensured that a good set of construction plans was <br />provided to the contractor and was diligent in proactively communicating <br />any outstanding issues with the CEI and the contractor. His project <br />experience includes widening, 3R, design build and 3P projects. Over the <br />past two decades, he has designed over 150 signals and over 400 miles of <br />Signing- Pavement Marking /Lighting. He has provided technical support for <br />transportation software distributed by McTrans, University of Florida and has <br />published with the Transportation Research Board Committee. <br />Key Projects <br />Parking Garage 6 Traffic Study <br />Florida International University (FIU) <br />Performed a traffic analysis (for <br />design year 2013) related to the <br />proposed construction of the new <br />Parking Garage no. 6 (PG6) located <br />at the FIU Modesto A. Maidique <br />Campus. The analysis involved <br />evaluating the traffic impacts on <br />the internal and external street <br />network immediately adjacent <br />to the proposed garage due to <br />the revised traffic circulation and <br />recommending improvements for <br />any deficiencies in levels of service. <br />SR 874 Corridor Kendall Drive to SR 826 <br />MDX <br />Mohan was Engineer of Record <br />responsible for the MOT, signing/ <br />pavement marking design and <br />street lighting design /analysis of <br />approximately 3.5 miles of the <br />project. This project includes the <br />lighting design and analysis, MOT <br />and signing /pavement marking <br />design from Kendall Drive to SR 826, <br />as well as signal design at Kendall <br />Drive. <br />SW 147 Ave Improvements from SW 26 <br />Street to SW 8 Street <br />Miami -Dade County Parks & Recreation <br />Engineer of Record responsible <br />for the street lighting design and <br />signing - pavement marking design <br />of approximately one mile segment <br />of roadway. This project included <br />the design and analysis components <br />connected with proposed widening <br />from a 2 -lane to 4 -lane divided <br />facility. <br />Parking Garage 6 Civil Engineering <br />Florida International University (FIU) <br />Providing the engineering design <br />services for Florida International <br />University's (FIU) 2000 space mixed <br />use Parking Garage No. 6 (PG6) on <br />the Modesto Maidique campus in <br />Miami. The design for this project <br />includes the water, sewer, paving, <br />grading, drainage, traffic and <br />transportation design for this facility. <br />Also the planning for a future express <br />bus rapid transit hub is integrated <br />into the site's design.
