The purpose of the <br />survey was to establish vertical and horizontal control <br />for the design of a water main to complete the potable <br />water system of the Village. The <br />topographic survey was to develop a TIN file of the <br />ground surface under the wharf and extend water -ward <br />about 30' beyond the face of the wharf. The survey also <br />included the location of 15 -20 geotechnical borings on <br />the top side of the wharf and the approximate location <br />Of 5 sections of existing rip -rap located within the <br />project area. The topographic survey entailed task; <br />Established Horizontal Control relative to NAD83 /2007 <br />and Vertical Control relative to NAVD88; Control <br />stations to be established at +/- l000' intervals and <br />placed in locations not subject to construction and able <br />to be verified; Utilized during construction. Created a <br />grid based on the location of all existing piles <br />supporting the wharf as necessary to delineate existing <br />ground conditions.
