<br />understand the everyday responsibilities of City Planners
<br />such as zoning and land development code, comprehensive
<br />planning, platting, subdivision, design criteria, site planning,
<br />land use amendments and annexation issues. K &S has a
<br />high level of EAR and comprehensive planning experience,
<br />and is knowledgeable in all of the various legislative changes
<br />and Florida Statues that govern this process.
<br />Environmental Services
<br />K &S has more than 30 years of experience obtaining and
<br />modifying permits from the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers
<br />(Section 404), U.S. Coast Guard (Bridge Permits), Florida
<br />Department of Environmental Protection (ERR, UIC, SSL
<br />Authorization), Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
<br />Commission and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Relocation
<br />Permits, Disturbance Permits), the South Florida Water
<br />Management District (ERP, ROW Occupancy Permits,
<br />Consumptive Use Permits), and local agencies (County,
<br />City, local 298 drainage district, building permits, etc.).
<br />Our Environmental Permit Coordinators formerly
<br />worked for FDEP and other regulatory agencies. With
<br />their professional backgrounds and relationships, they will
<br />work with local, State, and Federal regulatory agencies
<br />and stakeholders on environmental impacts, threatened
<br />and endangered species issues, wetland delineations and
<br />wetland assessments, review of mitigation plans, compliance
<br />with regulatory permit requirements, and compliance with
<br />state and federal water quality standards.
<br />SURVEY
<br />Widely regarded as Florida's leader with respect to
<br />survey and mapping, K &S has extensive experience in
<br />the organization, management and performance of such
<br />projects. Based on past work experience for Public Sector
<br />clients, K &S is well versed in the preparation of various
<br />Surveying and Mapping Consulting Engineering Services.We
<br />understand projects may include, but are not limited to,
<br />park and recreation sites, storage buildings, parking garages,
<br />maintenance buildings, utility lines, water and wastewater
<br />treatment plants, marine facilities, seawalls, docks, fire
<br />stations, auditoriums, community centers, bridges, roadways,
<br />drainage structures, wind turbines, shade structures and
<br />office buildings.
