Ms. Salas was the Engineer of Record for a 6' x 9' x 40' single cell, box culvert with wingwalls, using the current FDOT LRFD Box Culvert Program. The structure was comprised of prestressed square concrete piles on pressure- treated wood. Project duties included project layout and the spacing of the piles, the evaluation and distribution of loads to the joists and beams, calculating pile loads and sizing pressure- treated timber beams and joists. (1/04 to 11/05) Rickenbacker East Fishing Pier Repairs, Miami -Dade County, FL: Post Design engineer for the analysis of the existing pier cap for the construction loads during repair work. Performed analysis of pier structures based on construction conditions during repairs that deviated for the plans and evaluated Beverly corroded steel beams for structural adequacy.
