Orlando's <br />experience is based on over <br />40 years of work throughout <br />Florida, other States and the <br />Caribbean. <br />Similar Experience <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Heritage <br />Park and Garage, Sunny Isles Beach, <br />FL. Role: Mechanical /Plumbing <br />Engineer. AECOM was chosen by the City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach to plan and design <br />a new parking garage to be located <br />within a new community park.The <br />parking garage consists of 4levels and <br />515 spaces with first floor functional <br />areas being dedicated to concessions <br />and park support.The park component <br />includes a children's playground, public <br />plaza area, gazebo for community <br />events and multipurpose green space. <br />Broward County Judicial Complex <br />Fort Lauderdale, FL. Role: Mechanical/ <br />Plumbing Engineer. The new courts <br />building will occupy a 1.55 acre portion <br />of the campus and will be a 20 story <br />high -rise structure providing state of <br />the art courtrooms and office space.The <br />building will house 74 courtrooms and <br />hearing rooms for the County Criminal, <br />Domestic Relations, Magistrates, <br />Probate, County Civil, and Circuit Civil <br />courts components. The project is <br />targeted to achieve a LEED for New <br />Construction Silver certification. <br />Miami International Airport USDA <br />Offices at US Customs Area, Miami, <br />FL. Mr. Hernandez was responsible <br />for the mechanical engineering design <br />for the renovation and addition of <br />spaces, the project included offices, <br />a laboratory, operations department, <br />lockers and kennel /quarantine areas <br />including a bird room. <br />Broward County Children's Reading <br />Center & Museum, Davie, FL. Role: <br />Mechanical/ Plumbing Engineer. <br />This 55,000 SF Interactive Children's <br />Museum has four primary components: <br />a 30,000 SF Museum, 7,000 SF Art <br />Institute, 5,000 SF Auditorium and <br />13,000 SF Public Library.The primary <br />design goal was to create an art and <br />educational environment geared to <br />children and families.The project is <br />targeted to achieve a LEED for New <br />Construction Silver Certification. <br />Memorial Hospital Office Buildings <br />Miscellaneous Projects, Hollywood, <br />FL. Role: Mechanical/Plumbing <br />Engineer HVAC,plumbing,fire <br />protection, electrical and lighting <br />design for over 60 spaces in these <br />facilities, including offices, clinics <br />and laboratories, these services were <br />on a fast turn-around schedule. Mr. <br />Hernandez was responsible for the <br />mechanical /plumbing engineer design <br />Baha Mar Convention Center, Nassau, <br />Bahamas. Mechanical engineer for a <br />200,000 square foot convention center <br />located on a waterfront site in central <br />Nassau. The center will complement <br />and support the other resort <br />components including major hotels for <br />Sheraton and Wyndham, restaurants, <br />retail, entertainment, residential, <br />parking garages, and golf course. The <br />convention center will include a main <br />ballroom capable of seating 2,000 for a <br />variety of functions with a lobby / pre - <br />function area; exhibition / convention <br />space capable of being subdivided to <br />accommodate different size events; a <br />separate wing of meeting rooms, a full <br />service kitchen; administrative support <br />space; loading dock; and storage. The <br />building used the best sustainable <br />design principles. <br />
