SECTION 4' <br />REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS NO. 14 -07 -02 <br />Urban Design Plans <br />Over the past several years, urban design in South Florida has <br />gone through a drastic change. With the introduction of <br />'modern urbanism' the language of development has been <br />changed forever. Suburban communities are now urban; mass <br />transit is being taken seriously; pocket parks and urban oasis <br />are becoming more of a common occurrence and <br />'sustainability' and 'green buildings' has entered into Code <br />requirements from many cities and counties. <br />The CTA approach to Urban Design Plans builds on three key <br />principles. <br />• Build on Your Strength <br />• Create Great Places <br />• Activate the Street <br />With every urban design plan, CTA <br />all be met.
