REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS NO. 14 -07 -02
Are there any desired solutions for the study area? This question is asked to ensure that the
desired solution is analyzed. If it is a viable solution, then there is a high likelihood that it would be
recommended as the preferred alternative.
In addition to these questions, the project schedule is also discussed with the City. Prior to
committing to the desired schedule, the consultant project manager discusses the work efforts with
the project team to ensure that our team can provide a quality product in the time requested. Our
emphasis is on quality, and to that end, we would rather request additional time up front than lower
our standards.
Parking Studies
Our approach to parking studies focuses on the number of days and the time of day when the data
collection will be performed. Three days of data collection is usually recommended for parking
studies. Our team will determine appropriate adjustment factors to account for seasonal variations
and vacant developments within the area_of_the_parking_study.— We_will subdivide the parking
lots /garages into small areas /zones`i order to have a more - detailed inventory of existing parking
usage. Parking surveys will be conducted in one -half hour increments in order to have a more
accurate data base of parking conditions:--in-areas-close-to-the-beach,-emphasis will be placed on
vehicles using the parking -areas for-beach,destination areas.
Traffic Calming
The primary goals of traffic c
traffic intrusion, and maintair
commences with an initial mf
conducts field reviews collect
and identifies potential traffic
City staff prior to conducting
officials.
nirig include safety enh
idequate- mobility and
ting with City staff.
