Located amongst several multi - family developments, this natural oasis provides a <br />tranquil setting for relaxation and passive recreation. Existing on this site is a small Cypress Stand and <br />wetland, as well as several large specimen Live Oak trees. The site plan was designed to preserve and <br />enhance all of the existing natural resources while providing a beautiful, safe and functional passive <br />park for the residents. The park will contain a walking/jogging trail with exercise stations, an elaborately <br />themed Splash Pad / "Sprayground ", pervious parking area, a nine hole disc golf course, multiple <br />custom picnic pavilions and a custom restroom facility as well as environmental educational materials. <br />As you enter the park a recycled glass river guides the visitors to the "Sunrise Swamp% Splash Pad and <br />there amongst the lush native vegetation the alligators are there to spray you with water. <br />Craven Thompson and Associates, Inc. was the prime consultant responsible for the park design as well <br />as the survey, preparation of the Open space Park management Plan, the design workshops, conceptual <br />site design, Construction Documents and Construction Management for the City of Sunrise.
