CTA was the prime consultant in the park's recent renovations
which included redesign of the entire pedestrian system including state -
of- the -art fitness stations, distance markers and the widening of the path
for a multi - purpose trail. In keeping with the City's and CTA's
sustainability values, the multi - purpose trail was constructed using a
material fabricated with recycled tires. This path is comfortable for the
users with low impact to joints, pervious to allow water to recharge the
aquifer and also eliminates an impact on the adjacent, mature tree
canopy by allowing air and water to the soil and roots.
CRAVEN THOMPSON & ASSOCIATES.
