TO: <br />VIA: <br />FROM: <br />DATE: <br />RE: <br />"City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />Stan Morris, City Manager <br />Genesis Cuevas, Purchasing Manager <br />June 15, 2023 <br />Award RFP 23-04-02 Disaster Debris Monitoring Services & Financia <br />Recovery Assistance <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />Pursuant to the Code of Ordinance § 62-6(d), all purchases of and contracts for equipment, supplies <br />and contractual services, when the estimated cost shall exceed $50,000.00 shall be based on <br />competitive bids. <br />As such, the City of Sunny Isles Beach released an RFP seeking qualified, experienced and license <br />firm(s) to provide Disaster Debris Monitoring Services and Financial Recovery Assistance for FEMA, c <br />other Federal Agency financial recovery programs. Such declared emergencies, include but is not <br />limited to, hurricanes, tornadoes, windstorms, floods, and fires or manmade disaster(s) such as civil <br />unrest and terrorist attacks. There is no guarantee that a Notice to Proceed (NTP) will be issued under <br />the awarded agreement, NTP's will only be executed in the event of a declared emergency. The <br />Consultant shall have a profound understanding of the documentation involved for the <br />reimbursement from FEMA, or other Federal Agencies, and the State relief programs to make the <br />process of cost recovery efficient and accurate. <br />Prior to the expiration of the final term of the existing contract, on April 24, 2023, the City released <br />RFP # 23-04-02 Disaster Debris Monitoring Services & Financial Recovery Assistance Eleven (11) <br />vendors registered as a Plan Holder on Demandstar.
