Springtree Water/Waste Water Treatment Plant <br />Off-Site Drainage and Utilities Improvements <br />Sunrise, Florida <br />ROLE Ric-Man International served as the prime contractor <br />DESCRIPTION OF THE <br />SCOPE OF THE WORK <br />Project consisted of a new 8-inch potable water main connecting to the existing plant <br />loop and extending along N.W. 44th Street east to the adjacent high school. Overall <br />drainage improvements to the plant and neighboring golf course to the south that will <br />include the filling of existing detention areas, a lake expansion, and the construction of <br />a conveyance system between the two sites. Discharge from the plant site into the <br />existing lake will be directed through an existing control structure to be modified to <br />consist of a 6 ft. wide weir at elevation 6.60' NAVD and a 3" bleed down orifice at <br />elevation 3.95' NAVD. Offsite discharge from the lake into the City's master canal <br />system will be directed through a proposed control structure consisting of a two stage <br />weir with a 20 ft. wide weir at elevation 4.95' NAVD, 60 ft. wide weir at elevation 7.00' <br />NAVD, and two 6" bleed down orifices at elevation 3.95' NAVD.
