5 <br /> <br /> <br />SUPERVISOR'S AND FOREMEN’S RESPONSIBILITY <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />As a Supervisor or Foreman, you are a KEY person in the safety program of this company. Please <br />review the following responsibilities and give attention to each area. <br /> <br />Set a good example by following ALL safety procedures. <br /> <br />Make all new employees aware of RIC-MAN safety rules and enforce adherence to them. Stress the <br />importance of SAFE WORKING PROCEDURES and SAFETY RULES, as you familiarize the new <br />employee with his/her duties. Review the safety rules on a regular basis. <br /> <br />Conduct periodic Safety Meetings as a group and on an individual basis. Conduct weekly toolbox safety <br />meetings and submit sign d attendance sheets. <br />Promptly report all injuries and accidents. Investigate all accidents and near misses personally. Initiate <br />corrective changes designed to prevent recurrence of the incident. Photographs need to be taken of all <br />vehicles involved in any accident no matter the size. If a Police Report is issued it is the responsibility of <br />the Superintendent to obtain a copy and submit it along with the accident report to the office. All photos <br />and accident reports must be submitted to the office within two (2) days of the accident date. <br /> <br />Conduct regular safety inspections of your area and make corrections as needed. <br />Administer, plan and require that all work comply with RIC-MAN's safety program. <br />Keep your superiors informed of necessary changes, which would make the job a safer place to work. <br />Check that employees are following safety procedures and are using the right tools properly . <br /> <br />Review and discuss with employees any observed unsafe procedures or practices as well as <br />encourage safety suggestions from employees. Document any repeated failure to comply with safety <br />policies and procedures.
