12 <br /> SAFETY RULES <br /> <br />NO EMPLOYEE WILL BE PERMITTED TO WORK IN OR AROUND AN UNSAFE <br />ENVIRONMENT. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE COMPANY SAFETY RULES <br />AND POLICIES will subject offenders to discipline including IMMEDIATE <br />TERMINATION. <br /> <br />DRUG ABUSE: No employee shall report to work under the influence of <br />intoxicants or drugs or use intoxicants or drugs on the job. ANY EMPLOYEE FOUND <br />INTOXICATED OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS WHILE ON DUTY IS SUBJECT <br />TO IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION OF TIME AND PAY AND TERMINATION OF <br />EMPLOYMENT. <br /> <br />PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) as required or as instructed by <br />your supervisor, safety glasses, work gloves, hard hats, safety shoes, eye protectors, <br />ear protectors, respirators and other protective equipment should be used on all <br />construction projects. <br /> <br />HEAD PROTECTI ON: A hard hat is to be worn by all personnel and visitors <br />while on any RIC-MAN job site. All employees will be issued one hard hat and will be <br />held responsible for its condition. If the hard hat is damaged in the line of duty, it will <br />be replaced at no charge to you. However, if the hard hat is lost or damaged do to <br />carelessness, then the employee will be charged for the replacement. <br /> <br />EYE PROTECTION: Proper safety glasses are to be worn during any type of <br />cutting including handsaws, street saws, etc. <br /> <br />RESP IRATORS: Respirators must be worn when employees are exposed to <br />an atmosphere containing flammable gas in excess of 20% of the flammable limit of <br />the gas. 29CFR1926.651 (2)(g)(iii) <br /> <br /> WELDING: When cutting with an acetylene or other torch: A Fire extinguisher is <br />to be ready and available. <br />b. Flammable materials and combustibles must be removed from the <br />area and a second employee must provide a fire watch. <br />c. Appropriate clothing and protective wear including, eye <br />protection/glasses must be worn.
