13 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />UNSAFE CONDITIONS: No employee shall be allowed to continue working if <br />his supervisor finds that he is performing his duties in an unsafe manner. <br /> <br />RIDING: No riders are allowed on equipment or vehicles except in designated <br />operator and passenger positions. Do not extend hands, feet heads , arms, legs, <br />equipment or tools outside of any vehicle. Getting on or off a moving vehicle is prohibited . <br />Secure handholds and footholds must be used when entering or exiting vehicles or <br />equipment. Operators and authorized passengers in designated positions must wear <br />available seatbelts/restraints. <br /> <br />ACCIDENT REPORTING & TREATMENT: Report all job accidents the same <br />day the accident happens, no matter how minor. Proper reporting forms are to be completed <br />and submitted to the office the day of the accident. All non-emergency treatment for accidents <br />must first be reported to and authorized by your supervisor. <br /> <br />PERSONAL CONDUCT: Fighting is p prohibited. There shall be no practical jokes, <br />pranks, scuffling or “horseplay” on RIC-MAN projects or property. <br /> <br />LIFTING: Lift with your legs, not your back and get assistance with loads over fifty <br />(50) lbs. Don't carry loads that are too heavy. Be careful when lifting and reaching so that <br />you move the whole body and don't stretch the wrong muscles. Reaching can be dangerous <br />if done incorrectly. <br /> <br />SEAT BELTS: Operators and (where authorized) passengers must wear seat belts <br />at all times in vehicles and equipment designed with seat belts. <br /> <br />HOUSEKEEPING: You are responsible for keeping the area where you always <br />work clean and neat. Your job site is to be kept in an orderly fashion with a rubbish area <br />specified. Glass bottles are not permitted on the job site. <br /> <br />SAFETY VESTS: Any employee working in a traffic area will wear an orange safety <br />vest. Please see your foreman or supervisor to obtain a vest before entering a traffic area. <br /> <br />CLOTHING: Shirts with sleeves, pants without holes or tears and closed shoes <br />must be worn at all time. Safety shoes and boots are encouraged . Employees are <br />cautioned about the danger of loose clothing, rings, bracelets and jewelry around moving <br />equipment.
