38 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Updated August 2018 <br />SITE CONTROL <br /> <br />The purpose of site control is to minimize potential contact with tasks and materials, heavy equipment <br />operations etc. <br /> <br /> We need to protect the public from site hazards and prevent vandalism. The degree of site control <br />necessary depends on the site characteristics, site size and the surroundings community. <br /> <br />Controlled work areas will be established directly prior to work begin conducted. <br /> <br /> Diagrams designating specific controlled work areas will be drawn on site maps posted in the support <br />vehicles or office trailer and discussed during safety meetings. If the site layout changes, the new areas <br />and their potential hazards will be discussed immediately after the ch anges are made. <br /> <br /> General examples of zone layouts have been developed for drilling and earth mowing activities, (e.g. <br />Excavating, trenching etc.). <br /> <br /> NOISE EXPOSURE <br /> <br /> When heavy equipment is in operation, it will be necessary to ensure that each work area where <br />hazardous noise levels are present (85 dba or greater), <br /> <br /> If the sound present is more than 85 dba, in any location along the site perimeter and all boundary will <br />be adjusted at this region. All personnel working near b [y, will be required to wearing ear protection and <br />must near heavy equipment operations. <br /> <br /> TRAFFIC CONTROL <br /> <br /> During certain work tasks the establishment of traffic control is definitely protect workers and to be required <br />on site. <br /> <br /> Site specific requirements will be doing with m.o.t, flaggers, cones, barricades and signs means will be <br />used on public roadways per accordance of state regulations and D.O.T. (Department of Transportation). <br /> <br />General traffic control precautions include placing work vehicles between your work site and any oncoming <br />vehicles, whenever possible.
