The sewer system was equipped <br />with 12 grinder pumps and service connections for <br />individual properties in the project area that connects <br />to the City’s existing sewer system. As part of our <br />scope, Ric‐Man was also responsible for the <br />development of a cost‐effective method for providing <br />power to grinder pumps, as well as a methodology <br />for payment of electrical power costs <br /> <br />SW 6 & 7 Utilities Extension Project Area 3 <br />Owner: City of Cape Coral- 9.7 million <br />Reference: Paul Clingham, Utilities Director ‐ 239‐ <br />574‐0464 <br />Role: Superintendent <br />The project consisted of potable water, irrigation, <br />sanitary sewer, stormwater drainage, and hardscape <br />infrastructure improvements to a neighborhood <br />composed of 844 homes and 2 bridges in Cape Coral, <br />Florida. Potable water improvements included <br />installing 39,800 feet of 6‐ to 8‐inch PVC water main <br />with 438 services for 734 meters, 34 fire hydrants, and <br />an aerial crossing. Irrigation improvements included <br />installing 43,790 feet of reclaimed 4‐ to 16‐inch <br />irrigation mains with 498 irrigation services for 844 <br />meters, as well as a 4‐inch and a 16‐inch aerial <br />crossing. Stormwater drainage improvements <br />included installing, 5,200 feet of 15‐ to 36‐inch HDPE <br />& PVC main, 400 feet of 12x18‐ to 24x38‐inch elliptical <br />HDPE main, and 127 inlet structures. Sanitary sewer <br />improvements included installing 41,100 feet of 8‐ <br />inch PVC gravity sewer mains up to 16‐feet deep <br />including 98 manhole structures and 540 single and <br />double services, 2 wastewater lift station, and 5,620 <br />feet of 6‐inch PVC force main.
