CFrx 4f '-9 <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Fabricio Volpi, Public Works Superintendent <br />DATE: February 15, 2024 <br />RE: Awarding ITB No. 24-01-01 Carpet & Floor Maintenance Services <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />Pursuant to the Code of Ordinance § 62-6(d), all purchases of and contracts for equipment, supplies <br />and contractual services, when the estimated cost shall exceed $50,000.00 shall be based on <br />competitive bids. <br />Public Works expressed a need and budgeted accordingly for citywide floor cleaning services. Based on <br />the approved budget, Procurement released the subject Invitation to Bid. <br />The city solicited sealed bids via an Invitation to Bid (ITB) from qualified Contractors to provide <br />citywide floor cleaning services. The scope to be performed shall include floor cleaning and <br />maintenance to the government facility buildings as described in the ITB. All locations must be cleanec <br />vigorously and thoroughly to ensure pristineness throughout the city facilities. The city sought to <br />procure a vendor who can demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and notices the smallest <br />imperfections, proactively correcting them. <br />The ITB contained Minimum Qualification Requirements (MQRs) that interested bidders must meet t, <br />be deemed responsive.
