BID TITLE: BID 19 -17 -12 -HR BID NUMBER: ROOFING MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS <br />SECTION 1 — SPECIFICATIONS <br />The work includes repairs to City owned buildings associated with roofing, re -roofing and roof repair <br />components for various locations within the City. All items are based on a complete system i.e. 4 -ply SBS <br />modified bitumen system (granular cap sheet). All installations shall meet all State of Florida requirements <br />and Miami -Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) for high velocity. All Bidders shall have a State of Florida <br />Roofing license and a State of Florida General Contractor's (CGC) license. The Contractor shall be a certified <br />lightning protection Contractor through Underwriters Laboratory (UL). In addition, under no circumstance shall <br />the roofer remove and not replace any existing lightning protection. Where lightning protection exists, it shall <br />be the Contractor's responsibility to ensure that the lightning protection is adequate. <br />USE OF PREMISES <br />A. Use of Site: Limit use of premises to work areas. Contractor shall not be allowed to mobilize until such <br />time the staging area has been accepted by the City representative. Contractor shall not disturb the site <br />beyond areas in which the work is necessary. Any damage to public or private property resulting from <br />the Contractor's activities shall be promptly resolved, repaired, managed, and paid for by the Contractor. <br />1. Limits: <br />Confine operations to areas where work needs to take place. Avoid disturbing areas where no work is <br />needed or required. <br />2. Owner Occupancy: <br />Allow for Owner occupancy of site. <br />3. Public Occupancy: <br />Allow for the public to use the site. Site includes streets and roadways which shall be kept open and <br />usable at all times. <br />4. Driveways and Entrances: <br />Keep driveways and entrances clear and available to owner, owner's employees, emergency vehicles, <br />owner's tenants, users and public at all times. Do not use these areas for parking or storage of <br />materials. <br />a. Schedule deliveries to minimize use of driveways and entrances. <br />b. Schedule deliveries to minimize space and time requirements for storage of materials and equipment <br />on-site. <br />B. Use of Staging Area: Maintain area assigned for staging in clean condition throughout working period. <br />a. Repair damage caused by construction operations. <br />b. Protect driveway, asphalt and access to adjoining areas during construction period. <br />c. Enclose staging area with chain link fence. Fence is to include black screen mesh for dust control <br />and to restrict visibility to the public. The staging area shall account for all necessary safety factors. <br />COOPERATION OF CONTRACTORS, SUBCONTRACTOR AND MATERIALMEN <br />A. The City of Sunrise reserves the right to bring other contractors to the site for work related to <br />this project, or others. <br />B. CONTRACTOR shall conduct the work so as to not interfere with the work of others. <br />C. CONTRACTOR shall coordinate the work with that of others conducting work contiguously. <br />Revised 6/27/18 Page 3 <br />
