BID TITLE: BID 19 -17 -12 -HR BID NUMBER: ROOFING MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS <br />PERMITS <br />A. The Contractor shall be required to pay and obtain all permits necessary from all agencies having <br />jurisdiction. The Contractor shall comply with all permitting agency requirements. <br />WORK RESTRICTIONS AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />A. CONTRACTOR shall allow for others to access the site for storage of materials and equipment for the <br />connection of adjacent work, and for the execution of the work of others. <br />B. To the best extent possible, the City of Sunrise has documented the interaction of others with the work <br />of this contract. CONTRACTOR shall reasonably anticipate the activities of others within the site, for <br />which no claim for additional work, additional time or impact will be allowed. <br />C. When work of this contract requires connection or interaction of any type or kind with the work of others, <br />CONTRACTOR shall inspect the work for completeness, accuracy, proper and correct interface and <br />execution. Upon inspection, CONTRACTOR shall notify the City Representative, of any discrepancies, <br />deviations, or defects. <br />D. CONTRACTOR shall notify the City Representative of the progress in the work of other contractor's, <br />when the work needs to interface with the CONTRACTOR's work. This information is to be used for <br />coordination, tracking and scheduling the CONTRACTOR's work. <br />E. CONTRACTOR's failure to inspect, schedule, coordinate, or observe progress of work of other <br />contractor's, whose work must interface with the CONTRACTOR's work shall be fully responsible for <br />the effects of time and costs. City will not recognize added costs, time extensions or claims. <br />F. Damages, interference, delays and interruptions of work caused by other contractor's shall be <br />addressed by the CONTRACTOR directly with the contractor's or individuals who caused the damages, <br />delays and interruptions. <br />G. Contractor shall have dumpsters on site to contain all debris. Dumpsters shall be acquired from All <br />Service Refuse at 954-577-1135. <br />RIGHTS TO COOPERATION <br />A. The City of Sunrise reserves its right to expect and demand cooperation from any and all contractor's <br />doing work within the City. <br />B. When work of this Contract adjoins, abuts, is contiguous, or interfaces with the work of other <br />contractor's, the City of Sunrise reserves the right to establish completions of the work, or portions of it, <br />at the discretion of the City. <br />C. City of Sunrise will use its discretion in establishing priorities in the completion of the work, or portions of <br />it, based on the needs and operations at the City. <br />D. All rebates for materials used under this contract must be turned over to the City of Sunrise. Contractor <br />must assist The City to recover all rebates for Energy saving programs from any entity for covered <br />materials used under this Contract. <br />CONDITIONS DURING ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS <br />HURRICANES AND WEATHER RELATED CONCERNS: <br />A. Because of the City's location and its exposure during the South Florida Hurricane season, <br />CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for tracking, charting and following all information relating to <br />storms. <br />B. CONTRACTOR shall make all preparations in anticipation of hurricanes, tropical storms and other types <br />of storms. <br />C. CONTRACTOR shall make personnel available to discuss and coordinate all necessary activities <br />affecting preparations for hurricanes and other weather related issues. <br />Revised 6/27/18 Page 4 <br />
