BID TITLE: BID 19 -17 -12 -HR BID NUMBER: ROOFING MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS <br />PART 1 — GENERAL (Continued) <br />1.06 JOB CONDITIONS <br />A. WEATHER CONDITIONS: <br />Proceed with roofing system installation only when existing and forecasted weather <br />conditions are favorable and will allow work to proceed in accordance with <br />requirements and recommendations of manufacturers of primary roofing system <br />materials. <br />B. FIELD MEASUREMENTS AND MATERIAL QUANTITIES: <br />1. The CONTRACTOR shall have sole responsibility for accuracy of all <br />measurements, estimates of material quantities and sizes, and site <br />conditions that will affect work. <br />C. EXISTING CONDITIONS: <br />1. Building space directly under roof area covered by this specification <br />will be utilized by ongoing operations. Do not interrupt City of Sunrise <br />operations unless prior written approval is received from City of <br />Sunrise. <br />2. Access to roof shall be from exterior of the building only. <br />1.07 GUARANTIES <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall provide manufacturer's and applicator's warranty in accordance <br />with standard applications; however, in no event shall it be less than one (1) year for labor <br />and five (5) years for material. <br />PART 2 — PRODUCTS <br />2.01 ROOFING MATERIALS <br />A. During course of work, Owner's representative may secure samples of materials <br />being used from containers at job site and submit them to an independent laboratory <br />for comparison to specified material. <br />B. Should test results prove that a material is not functionally equal to the existing <br />material: <br />The CONTRACTOR shall pay for all testing. <br />2. Roofing installed and found not to comply with the specifications <br />shall be removed and replaced at no change in the contract price. <br />3. Any defects of material or construction shall be removed and <br />replaced. <br />Revised 6/27/18 Page 12 <br />
