BID TITLE: BID 19 -17 -12 -HR BID NUMBER: ROOFING MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS <br />SECTION 07512 — BUILT-UP ROOFING SINGLE MEMBBRANE AND <br />MISCELLANEOUS ROOF REPAIR <br />(Continued) <br />PART 1 — GENERAL (Continued) <br />B. The extent of built-up roofing work (BUR) is indicated on the drawings and by <br />provisions of this section, and is defined to include roofing, vapor barriers (if <br />any), composition flashing and demolition, and roofing accessories integrally <br />related to roofing installation. <br />A. MANUFACTURERS: <br />Provide primary products to be compatible with existing material. City to approve product <br />prior to installation. <br />B. COORDINATION: <br />The CONTRACTOR shall coordinate requirements of roofing and decking <br />subcontractors so as to insure compatibility of installed systems. Modifications to <br />respective specifications to meet manufacturer's requirements are the responsibility <br />of the CONTRACTOR, subject to the review of the CITY's representative. <br />C. Finished repairs must be solid and tight. The CITY REPRESENTATIVE will inspect <br />completed repairs and water test if necessary to verify proper adhesion and that the <br />leak has been repaired. The CONTRACTOR shall rework at no additional cost to <br />the CITY, any repair areas designated by the CITY REPRESENTATIVE that are <br />burned, delaminated, buckled, blistered, inadequately repaired or leaking water. <br />D. The CONTRACTOR shall initiate repairs immediately (within 24 hours) upon receipt <br />of a Purchase Order by the CITY. <br />E. PROTECTION OF FACILITITIES DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER: <br />The CONTRACTOR is responsible for planning, scheduling and conducting its work <br />in a manner that prevents the interior of the buildings from sustaining damage due <br />to inclement weather. <br />F.
