BID TITLE: BID 19 -17 -12 -HR BID NUMBER: ROOFING MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS <br />SECTION 07512 — BUILT-UP ROOFING SINGLE MEMBRANE AND <br />MISCELLANEOUS ROOF REPAIR <br />(Continued) <br />PART 2 — PRODUCTS (Continued) <br />2.05 MEMBRANE APPLIES <br />A. Shall be GAF Glass IV or City approved equal. Surface ply shall be modified <br />granulated bitumen, 130 to 160 mills. <br />2.06 SHEET METAL FLASHING <br />A. GALVANIZED STEEL: <br />ASTM A525, G90; G1140; 24 -gauge core steel unless otherwise noted on the plans. <br />B. LEAD: <br />Sheet lead minimum of 3 pound per square foot. <br />2.07 FABRICATION OF SHEET METAL FLASHING <br />A. Aluminum flashing sections shall have butt joints with aluminum cover. Embed all <br />members in mastic. <br />B. Aluminum roof expansion joint cover sections shall be joined by standing seams. <br />2.08 CANTS <br />A. Cants shall be pressure treated wood or alternate material solid fiber. <br />2.09 ASPHALT PRIMER <br />A. Asphalt primer shall conform to ASTM D41. <br />2.10 ASPHALT PLASTIC/FLASHING CEMENT <br />A. Asphalt flashing cement shall conform ASTM D2822 Type I or 11. <br />2.11 FLASHING NAILS <br />A. Flashing nails used with wood shall be 11 -gauge, barbed galvanized with 3/8 -inch <br />diameter heads and of sufficient length to penetrate the full depth of the nailer strip. <br />For masonry walls, case hardened nails specially designed may be used. Tin caps <br />shall be used with these nails. Large head Simplex(R) nails may be used without tin <br />caps. <br />2.12 TIN CAPS <br />A. Shall be flat discs or caps of 28 -gauge galvanized, stainless steel, or 30 -gauge <br />sheet metal, 2 inch or more in diameter and should meet Miami -Dade County & <br />Florida Building Code. Bell shaped or cupped shaped caps are not acceptable. <br />2.13 FASTENER FOR BASE PLY ATTACHMENT (LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE) <br />A. The fastener size should meet Miami -Dade County & Florida Building Code. <br />The fasteners should be Factory Mutual Research Corporation (FMRC) <br />approved. <br />Revised 6/27/18 Page 18 <br />
