BID TITLE: BID 19 -17 -12 -HR <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />BID NUMBER: ROOFING MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS <br />SECTION 07701 — GUTTER AND DOWNSPOUT REPLACEMENT <br />1.01 SCOPE <br />The work of this section shall consist of all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary <br />to remove existing and furnish and install all new gutters, and downspouts as indicated by the <br />CITY REPRESENTATIVE. <br />1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br />A. The extent of work is indicated on the drawings and by provisions of this section, <br />and is defined to include the following: <br />1. Gutters <br />2. Downspouts <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Conform to SMACNA Manual for nominal sizing of components for rainfall <br />intensity determined by a storm occurrence of 1 to 5 years. <br />1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Stack preformed and prefinished material to prevent twisting, bending, or <br />abrasion, and to aid ventilation. <br />B. Prevent contact with materials during storage which may cause discoloration, <br />staining, or damage. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br />A. GALVANIZED SHEET: <br />24 -gauge cold roll metal, shop pre -coated with primer and finish color, as selected <br />by the CITY REPRESENTATIVE. <br />2.02 COMPONENTS <br />A. GUTTERS: <br />Rectangular SMACNA style profile. <br />B. DOWNSPOUTS: <br />Square profile. <br />C. END CAPS, GUTTER STRAPS, GUTTER HANGERS, GUTTER SPACERS, <br />DOWNSPOUT SHOE, JOINT FASTENERS: <br />Profiled to suit gutters and downspouts. <br />2.03 ACCESSORIES <br />A. All attachments (straps, brackets, hangers, spacers) shall be concealed from view <br />when possible at gutters and downspouts. <br />B. PROTECTIVE BACKING PAINT: <br />Zinc Chromate Alkyd. <br />C. PAINT: <br />Acrylic latex, satin finish, 2 coats Sherwin Williams "A-100 Satin Latex House and <br />Trim", or City approved equal. <br />Revised 6/27/18 Page 23 <br />
