<br />19 <br /> <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />18070 Collins Ave. | Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160 <br />305.792.1707 | sibfl.net | Purchasing@sibfl.net <br />Section 3 <br />Scope of Services / Technical Specifications <br /> <br />3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The successful Proposer shall, at a minimum, have successful experience in food and/or beverage <br />concession operations. The Proposer must also demonstrate their ability to provide an organized, <br />accountable, efficient, safe, clean and professionally-staffed and maintained concession operation for <br />the general public during operating hours as defined below. The Concession area will be provided in <br />its "as-is" condition. The City will not pay for or reimburse the Contractor to paint or improve the <br />Concession facility. The successful Proposer shall manage and operate the concessionaire services for <br />healthy, all natural beverages and/or snacks at the following location throughout the City: <br /> <br />Location Address Operation Type Hours of Operation <br />Gateway Center 151 Sunny Isles Blvd. Indoor built-in <br />concession stand <br />Park hours: <br />8 am – 9 pm <br />Monday - Sunday <br /> <br />Concessionaire may choose to operate during limited hours on holidays such as, Christmas Day, New <br />Year's Day, MLK Day, President's Day, Labor Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Memorial Day, and <br />Thanksgiving Day, prior approval from Project Manager. <br /> <br /> 3.2 OBLIGATIONS OF THE CONCESSIONAIRE/OPERATOR: <br /> <br /> The City will require the Contractor to: <br /> <br />• Be licensed to operate a food concession. All food and beverage services shall meet all City, <br />County, and State requirements (licenses, permits, and certificates). Any fines issued by either <br />department will be paid by the Proposer own out of pocket expense. Proposer shall notify the City <br />immediately of any violations, and make every effort to rectify violations within 48 of <br />being notified by the health inspector. <br />• Pay a monthly license fee and revenue sharing agreement to be negotiated. <br />• Overnight storage for equipment or supplies will be permitted only with prior approval <br />from the CCS Director or designee. <br />• Concessionaire will be required to sell city owned promotional goods, such as shirts/hats, at no <br />additional mark-up. See Attachment C. <br />• Select and train personnel who shall, at all times, conduct themselves in a professional and <br />courteous manner. All personnel needed for the operation of the equipment. <br />• Concessionaire shall be responsible for enforcing patrons to follow Park rules, as described in <br />Attachment D. <br />• Concessionaire shall accept no less than two forms of payment, credit card and cash. <br />• Contractor must provide Point of Sale, POS system. <br />• All restaurant supplies to include food, beverages, cleaning supplies, and utensils must be <br />supplied by concessionaire. <br />• Maintain the prescribed levels of insurance, to be established by the City. <br />• Conduct operations so that the environment is not negatively impacted. <br />• Signs and advertising materials (subject to City’s approval).
