Exquisite Catering by Robert and Style Catering Inc. Upon thorough review of both proposals, Exquisite <br />Catering by Robertwas determined to be the lowest responsive/responsible proposer. Although <br />Exquisite Catering by Robert submitted the lowest proposal, they agreed to negotiate their unit per <br />person rates from $24.82 (excluding service charge, servers, cooks, grills) to $14.99 per person <br />(excluding said items). <br />The recommendation is to award the Request for Proposal and enter into agreement with Exquisite <br />Catering by Robert. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />In past years, Shorty's had been awarded the bid and fulfilled the contract satisfactorily. After bid <br />closing, Purchasing reached out to Shorty's to inquire why they had not bid this year. Their response was <br />that food and labor costs had increased so much since 2019, the last time they catered for us, that they <br />did not anticipate being awarded. When asked what their price would have been, they stated no less <br />than $28 per person.
