�C '}FLO V <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Rick Labinsky, P.E., City Engineer <br />DATE: October 22, 2024 <br />RE: Approval of a Project Agreement with Keith and Associates for Planning, <br />Engineering, and Landscape Services for the Town Center Park Playground <br />Redevelopment <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />Through the budget process, the City Commission approved the redesign of the play equipment at Town <br />Center Park. The play equipment is original from opening in 2005 and has exceeded it's original life <br />expectancy of 10 years. In order to accomplish this, the City of Sunny Isles Beach requires the services <br />of Keith and Associates to perform Planning, Engineering and Landscape design services for the <br />redevelopment of the playground at Town Center Park. <br />Consultant has agreed to provide these services in an amount not to exceed $219,500.00. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />On January 21, 2021, via Resolution No. 2021-3160, the City Commission short listed six civil <br />engineering firms in response to Request for Qualifications No. 20-07-01 for Continuing Professional <br />Services, in which Keith and Associates was one. As per our procurement policy, the City wishes to <br />utilize the services of Keith and Associates for this project. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Funds have been appropriated in account no. 300-6-5720-465000-75004. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution <br />Item Number: 9.F <br />102 <br />
