Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting September 18, 2014 City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida ORDINANCES FOR FIRST READING 7A. Add -On: [City Clerk's Note: Item 7A was heard after Item JOT] An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Amending Ordinance No. 2013 -412; Amending the City's Budget No. BA1314 -06 for the 2013 -2014 Fiscal Year — Capital Projects Fund, 2010 Capital Projects Fund, and 2011 Capital Projects Fund; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Implement the Terms and Conditions of this Ordinance; and Providing for an Effective Date. Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Finance Director Audra Curts -Whann reported that this amendment was necessary to close Funds 32 & 35 which is the borrowed funds on the 2010 and the 2011 Bond Issues that we utilized for our various Parks Projects. All funds were expended and may be properly closed out at the end of the Fiscal Year. Once we made those entries we also had to make a budget amendment which is the main purpose of this. The secondary purpose was to appropriate the funds that were necessary for the Emergency Seawall Project, and she also closed a couple of projects that were done. Public Speakers: None Mayor Edelcup thanked her for cleaning up some of those old funds. Commissioner Scholl moved and Vice Mayor Aelion seconded a motion to approve the proposed Ordinance on first reading. The motion was approved by a roll call vote of 5- 0 in favor. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending Chapter 156, Article I, of the Code of Ordinances of Sunny Isles Beach Entitled "Fees, Miscellaneous ", to Create Expedited, Specialized Permitting Services for Interior Remodeling, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A "; Providing for Repealer; Providing for Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for an Effective Date. (First Reading 07/17/14) Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Manager Russo said this Ordinance is to provide a specialized permitting customized services for people who are doing primarily larger projects.
