1.47 Prohibition Against Considering Social. Political or <br />Ideological Interests In Government Contracting <br />Bidders are hereby notified of the provisions of section 287.05701, <br />Florida Statutes, as amended, that the City will not request <br />documentation of or consider a Bidder's social, political, or ideological <br />interests when determining if the Bidder is a responsible Bidder. <br />Bidders are further notified that the City's governing body may not <br />give preference to a Bidder based on the Bidder's social, political, or <br />ideological interests. <br />1.48 Human Trafficking <br />Pursuant to Section 787.06, Florida Statutes, entitled "Human <br />Trafficking," a governmental entity cannot execute, renew, or extend <br />a contract with a nongovernmental entity that uses coercion for labor <br />or services, as defined in Section 786.06(2), Florida Statutes. <br />Contractor must submit an affidavit, signed by an officer or an <br />authorized representative of the Contractor, under penalty of <br />perjury, attesting that Contractor does not use coercion for labor or <br />services as defined in Section 786.06(2), Rorida Statutes. Submitting <br />a false certification shall be deemed a material breach of contract. <br />End of Section <br />
